R13 - Application For Classic Vehicle Conversion
IMPORTANT: Please read the Terms & Conditions overleaf carefully before completing the form. Application with incorrect or incomplete information will be rejected.
(a) *I / We shall change and seal the vehicle number plates at an LTA-authorised vehicle inspection centre within 3 calendar days from the conversion date.
(b) *I / We understand that once the vehicle is converted to the Classic Vehicle Scheme, the vehicle cannot be converted to other vehicle scheme.
(c) *I / We understand that the annual road tax of a classic vehicle is $280 and *I/ we will be given up to a maximum of 28 free Day Licences in respect of the same calendar year
corresponding to the annual road tax. *I/ We may purchase up to a maximum of 17 Day Licences @ $20 per day in the same calendar year. *I/ We acknowledge that the Day
Licences, free or payable, are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable and cannot be carried over to another calendar year.
(d) *I am/ We are aware that a valid Day Licence must be displayed for each day of vehicle usage, including weekends and public holidays.
(e) *I / We understand that classic vehicle cannot be placed under non-user status, i.e. Lay-up status.
(f) *I / We have read and understood all the Terms and Conditions listed overleaf and shall undertake to abide by them.
(g) *I / We consent to the collection, use or disclosure of *my / our personal data as stated in paragraph 9 overleaf.
(h) *I / We authorise the person named in Section B below to submit this application and transact on *my / our behalf (where applicable).
For vehicle registered in the name of non-individuals (e.g. company /business, etc)
1. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Classic Vehicle Scheme, the vehicle must be at least 35 years old, deemed from its original registration date, when the vehicle is being converted. No conversion is
allowed for vehicles renewed with a 5-year COE unless the vehicle is at least 30 years old at the time when the 5-year COE starts.

5. Change Of Vehicle Registration Number Plates and Display of New Road Tax Disc
Upon conversion of the vehicle to the Classic Vehicle Scheme, the registered owner shall proceed to change the number plates, within 3 calendar days from the conversion date.
The number plates must have white letters/figures on red and yellow background. The existing vehicle registration number will be retained. The front number plate must be mounted to
a metal bracket and the bracket must be welded onto the vehicle chassis or floorboard. The welding may be carried out by any workshop but must be inspected and approved by an
LTA-authorised vehicle inspection centre.
The owner has up to 14 days (excluding Sundays and public holidays) from conversion date to display the new road tax disc.
Failure to comply with the registration number plate or display of road tax disc requirements constitutes offences under the Road Traffic Act. Please contact the LTA Customer Service

(a) To seal the number plates, the owner must send the vehicle to any of the LTA-authorised vehicle inspection centres (i.e. VICOM Ltd, STA Inspection Pte Ltd or JIC Inspection
Services Pte Ltd). An inspection certificate will be issued to the owner after the number plates are sealed and inspected.
(b) If the owner wishes to break the vehicles number plate seals for repair or other vehicle works, he/she must first apply to LTA for approval. Any person who breaks or tampers
with a classic vehicle number plate seal, without authorisation from LTA, shall be liable to a jail term of up to 3 months, or to a fine of up to $1,000 for the first offence.
Subsequent offences carry a jail term of up to 6 months, or a fine of up to $2,000.
Up to 28 days, pro-rated to the remainder of the calendar year upon conversion; and
Up to 17 additional days, pro-rated to the remainder of the same calendar year of conversion, @ $20 per day.
A valid Day Licence must be clearly displayed during each day of usage. Days of usage are inclusive of weekends and public holidays.
Day Licences are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to another calendar year. It is a serious offence for anyone to use a vehicle
under the Classic Vehicle Scheme without clearly displaying a valid Day Licence. The driver or registered owner who causes or permits the vehicle to be driven without a valid Day
Licence shall be liable to a fine not exceeding $5,000, and in the case of second or subsequent conviction, a fine not exceeding $10,000.
8. In-Vehicle Unit
A vehicle is required to have a valid In-Vehicle Unit (IU) installed and a cash card of sufficient monetary value inserted into the IU if the vehicle is to be used on Electronic Road Pricing
(ERP)-priced roads during the ERP operational hours.
We may share personally identifiable data that you have provided in this application with other Government agencies, so as to serve you in a most efficient and effective way. We will
not share your personally identifiable data with other entities, except where such entities have been authorised to carry out specific Government services or in accordance with
legislation under the purview of the Land Transport Authority to enable us to perform our functions or duties or to comply with any order of court or in compliance with any written law,
or for the purposes of taking any action against any user for breach of the conditions of use of the Authority's electronic services.
Data provided by the Authority may be used for verification and record of your personal particulars, including comparing information from other sources, and using the information to
communicate with you.
