The layout of this restaurant was probably inspired by some science fiction movie. Guests
have to order here over a computer. The food and drinks are delivered to the table via a
whizzing roller-coaster of rail. Efficiency is very high and even with the whooshing and
whirring motion, not a single drop is spilled! Kids find the place very enjoyable and can’t
wait to return.
Hanging high above the mighty Yangtze river, this restaurant is built in a cave. The unique
element here is the 30 metre long narrow concrete bridge built on one side of the cliff. One
has to cross this bridge to reach the main dining area. Even a portion of the dining hall is
suspended in the air. Grab a bite and say hello to the longest river in Asia!
3. Kayabukiya tavern, Japan
Walk in, seat yourself, place an order and be surprised! Instead of waiters and waitresses,
you will find cute monkeys serving the food! The monkeys are not allowed to work more
than 2 hours a day, due to Japan’s animal rights regulation. Also the work condition ensures
proper treatment to the monkeys. And if the lovely little animals win your heart, you can tip
them with boiled soya beans!
Kemi boasts one of the biggest snow forts in the world which is rebuilt every winter. Each
year the architecture differs but the three features that repeat themselves include the Snow
Restaurant. The temperature within this restaurant is always minus 5 degrees Celsius. Fine
dining in a snow restaurant…who can resist it? No doubt the citizens of Kemi are proud of
it!
If your pockets run deep enough and you appreciate the value of a gourmet meal, then waste
no time and leave for Soneva Kiri Resort, KohKood Island. The resort boasts a generous
range of dining options. In the treepod restaurant, bamboo pods are lifted by ropes and
wires into tall leafy tropical trees of the KohKood’s ancient rainforest. Guests sitting inside
the tree pods get a magical view of the blue water and sandy shoreline. Amuse yourself by
tasting the expensive wine, as a personal waiter serves you high up using the acrobatics of a
zipline!
