DAILY CHECK
GENERAL This Checklist provides record and required data to perform the DAILY CHECK (DY) of
A320 Family aircrafts. This check shall be carried out by properly authorized personnel
only.
DAILY CHECK has to be accomplished:
 every 36 calendar hours elapsed time when aircraft is in service, or
 before the flight after the aircraft was in not flight-ready condition more than 36
calendar hours, or
 before the special flight or “STS/ OFFICIAL DELEGATION” flight, or
 during the aircraft stop after the test or training flight (flights).
Each accomplishment of the DAILY CHECK should be done strictly in accordance with
this Checklist, Checklist must be filled in and entered into the AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL
LOG BOOK Part I.

Carry out preliminary cockpit preparation and
ensure that all required checks are performed
before the application of electrical power to
avoid inadvertent operation of systems and
danger to the aircraft and personnel.

1.4 ALL Perform inspection of the AIRCRAFT Cockpit


TECHNICAL LOG BOOK Part I; II; III and take
corrective actions as required.

2 IN THE COCKPIT
2.1 ALL On ECAM DU ENG page 12-13-79-610-011-A
The engines oil quantity within a period of 5 to
60 minutes after engine shutdown. Service
with the oil if necessary.

2.2 ALL On ECAM DU HYD page 12-12-29 PB301


The hydraulic fluid levels. Service systems
with hydraulic fluid if necessary.

2.3 ALL On ECAM DU APU page 49-90-00-600-007-A


The APU oil quantity. Service APU with the oil
if necessary.

2.4 ALL On ECAM DU STS page


Check maintenance status and apply
corrective actions if required.

2.5 ALL On ECAM DU DOOR/OXY page


Check crew bottle pressure. Service the bottle
if necessary.

2.6 ALL Check Flash Lights (service) serviceability.

3 IN THE CABIN
3.1 ALL Perform general visual inspection of the cabin
attendant seats and seat belts.

3.2 ALL Perform general visual inspection of the (Task 252100-5F-1)


passenger’s seats and seat belts.
Check PAX seats for:
 general status (leather and fabric
upholstering);
 arm tables and food trays for operation;
 installation of life vest in each seat;
 proper operation backrests by using
mechanical controls;
 AFT track locks & FWD track studs for
secure attachment to the floor tracks.

3.3 ALL Perform general visual inspection of galleys


and galley equipment. Check galleys’ waste
receptacles access doors are spring – loaded
closed.

3.4 ALL Inspect the following parts of the coffee/ (Task 253021-5F-1)
beverage makers and clean if required:
 probe assembly;
 brew head cavity;
 switch panel.

3.5 ALL Perform general visual Inspection and initial (Task 336014-5F-2)
daily charge of Photoluminescent Path
Marking of the Cabin Emergency Lighting by
activating cabin lighting.

3.6 ALL Check Flash Lights (service) serviceability.


4 OUTSIDE
4.1 ALL Install nose and main landing gear safety pins 32-00-00-481-001-A 3,
if required. 11, 16

4.2 ALL Install MLG wheel chocks as required. 10-11-00-555-015-A 11,

4.3 ALL General visual inspection of Main LG shock 12-14-32-200-001-A 11,


absorber for signs of leakage, sliding tube for 16
scoring / damage and normal extension.

4.4 ALL Functional check of brakes heat packs for 32-42-27-210-003-A 11,
wear by use of the wear indicator (parking (Task 324227-01-1) 16
brake applied)

4.5 ALL General visual inspection of Nose LG shock 32-21-00-200-002-A 3


absorber for signs of leakage and normal
extension.

4.6 ALL Perform general visual inspection of landing 05-27-00-200-001-A 3,


gear and landing gear doors from the ground (Task ZL-700-01-1) 11, 16
as far as visible.

4.7 ALL Drain water content from fuel tanks. 12-32-28-281-001-A 6,

Inlet Cone, Fan Rotor Path, Splitter Fairing, Inlet
Guide Vanes, Fan Outlet Gide Vanes and Fan Duct

4.14 ALL Perform general visual inspection of wing 05-25-00-200-001-A 7 – 11,

5 DOCUMENTATION
5.1 ALL Record in AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL LOG Cockpit
BOOK the engine oil and hydraulic fluid
added, as required.

5.2 ALL Entry the Pre-flight check and corrective Cockpit


actions have been performed in AIRCRAFT
TECHNICAL LOG BOOK and sign against
each corrected or deferred item.
6 CLOSE – UP
6.1 ALL De-energize the aircraft electrical network (if Cockpit
necessary).

6.2 ALL Ensure that all cabin doors, cargo 1 – 21


compartment doors and service panels are
properly closed and secured (as required).
