Course Description: This course serves as a guide for international travelers and
those desiring a career in the global marketplace. Students will learn to make
responsible choices when planning and engaging in travel experiences regardless of
the purpose of the international trip. The course will foster ongoing connections
that build understanding and bridge culture differences, compassionate listening,
conflict resolution and other skills necessary to promote cross-culture
communication and responsible travel.
PRT 3780 – Program and Service Evaluation in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism
Summer 2016
Course Description: Methods of evaluation and research in parks, recreation, and
tourism. Includes investigation of a variety of approaches to research and
evaluation, including use of surveys, cost-benefit analyses, importance by
performance analysis, personnel evaluation, data processing and analysis, and
display and interpretation of data.
