      JOB DESCRIPTION
    ROLE/JOB SUMMARY: 
    The candidate must possess in­depth technical knowledge and working experience with the coating equipment and process used in the manufacture of coated solar
    crucibles.  The  candidate  will  be  working  to  stabilize  existing  processes  and  further  improve  quality  of  coated  crucibles  for  solar  ingot  production.  In  addition,  the
    candidate will be involved in the process control of solar grade silicon used to manufacture silicon wafers.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Ensures stability of existing silicon and coating processes and continuously improve the process capabilities
    Ensures assigned manufacturing processes meet and/or exceed operations goals in conformance with specifications and customer requirements.
    Responsible for documentation of policies and procedures for assigned processes.
    Prepares operational training material and checklists for technical, maintenance and manufacturing personnel.
    Performs buy­off and qualification of new equipment and processes.
    Resolves technical issues and supports customer needs.
    Responsible for day­to­day control plans to ensure that the process is sustained
    Identifies, diagnoses and resolves process related problems including failure analysis.
    Ensures robustness and timely introduction of new process and equipment.
    Collaborates with other functional groups to solve customer complaints and put in place corrective and preventive actions to prevent deviations.

     
    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    Participates in cross­functional team on various improvement projects

     
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    Technical/ Professional:
    Familiar with technical aspects of coating techniques used in solar wafer manufacturing
    In­depth knowledge of solar wafer coating process & its chemistry
    Knowledge of silicon chemistry
    Knowledge of technical capabilities of wide variety of Coating techniques and chemistry will be advantageous
    Knowledge of the capabilities of solar grade silicon will be advantageous

     
    Technological:
    Knowledge of DOE , SPC and FMEA
    Experienced in using data­mining (minitab, JMP) software for troubleshooting and optimisation

     
    General:
    Inexperienced candidates – Entry Level Engineer I
    Experienced hire – Entry Level Engineer II
    Degree in Material or Chemical Engineering or other relevant degrees
    Experience in the solar industry is preferable
    Strong technical and analytical skills
    Ability to solve & present problem in systematic approach
    Good English skills verbally and written 
     

    People/Relations:
    Possess strong teamwork.
    Self starter with strong drive and commitment.
