    Project, Srikalahasti submitted proposal seeking administrative approval for
    construction of O.T. Sluice at Km 125.200 of S.S.G. Canal to feed an ayacut of
    400 acres at an estimated cost of Rs. 24.40 Lakhs ( Rupees Twenty Four Lakhs
    and Forty Thousand Only).

    2. The Engineer-in-Chief, Telugu Ganga Project, Srikalahasti has further


    reported that a preliminary survey was carried out and construction of an Off-
    take Sluice at Km 125.200 of SSG Canal is proposed. To excavate supply
    channel for a length of 650M and then water let into existing channel and then
    it will flow in the existing channel for a length of 650M and joins the check Dam
    constructed across Chinneru at Naganandapuram village of Varadaiahpalem
    Mandal, Chittoor District.

    3. The Engineer-in-Chief, Telugu Ganga Project, Srikalahasti has further


    reported that due to establishment of S.E.Z in the command area of Branch
    Canal No.9, 9A and Mambattu, I.P. to an extent of 14,638 acres under
    package-11 got reduced and the present proposals of creating 392 acres
    ayacut will compensate to some extent for the ayacut lost due to formation of
    S.E.Z., and 45 Mcft of water only proposed to feed an extent of 400 acres
    through the proposed O.T. Sluice at Km 125.200 of S.S.G Canal.

    4. Hence, the Engineer-in-Chief, TGP, Srikalahasti has requested the


    Government to accord administrative Approval for Construction of O.T. Sluice
    at Km 125.200 of S.S.G. Canal Rs. 24.40 Lakhs.

    5. Government after careful examination hereby accord administrative


    approval for construction of O.T. Sluice at Km 125.200 of S.S.G. Canal to feed
    an ayacut of 400 acres at an estimated cost of Rs. 24.40 Lakhs ( Rupees Twenty
    Four Lakhs and Forty Thousand Only).

    6. The expenditure sanctioned above shall be debited to the head of


    account “4701 COL on Major and Medium Irrigation (01) Major Irrigation01
    (commercial), – MH 123 TGP, S.H.(27) canals and distributaries, 530 Major Works
    – 531 other expenditure”.
