ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The George Washington University seeks candidates who have demonstrated potential for management and
leadership and who have the intellectual ability, maturity, initiative and creativity to thrive in a challenging
environment. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or
an equivalent academic credential from a recognized international university. GSPM graduates serve in office
in capitals around the world, run national campaigns, work as chiefs of staff on Capitol Hill, serve in leadership
roles at the White House and with political parties, manage associations and advocacy organizations, and are
executives with prominent companies and public affairs firms.
Applicants are required to submit the following:

**Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are required for students who are from
countries where English is not an official language and for those who do not hold a degree from an accredited
American institution of higher learning.

The online political management program curriculum consists of 36 credits, including five core courses, seven elective
courses (choose from Applied Proficiencies, Advocacy or Electoral Politics clusters) and a capstone seminar.
