Dear CSUSM Tea ching Cred ent ial P rogram :

Hello my name is, Emily Hoff, and I am applying to the Teaching credential program at
CSUSM for the prospective school year starting in Fall 2019. I am graduating in May from CSU
San Marcos with my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. I am passionate about the
teaching credential program and look forward to obtaining my multiple and single subject
credential in Physical Education.
I am currently interning at a K-8th school teaching P.E. I have learned a lot about school
dynamics and implementing a lesson plan. I planned an hour-long lesson plan for a 4-6th
grade P.E. class, teaching badminton. I instructed the students through a warm-up, skill
development, and then a group like situation. I ended the class with a group discussion to
understand their development of the new skill and ask questions about the class to know
what they liked and what I should change for future classes. I am excited about my career as
a teacher and look forward to my interview and meeting perspective professors.
Sincerely,

Emily H off
