Applications in hard copy are invited under the sponsored project. The details of the project are as under:
Title of The Project Design and Stability of Pillars/Arrays of Pillars for different Mining Methods in
Coal Mine Workings.
Tenure of Project Initially for 1 year / co-terminus / extendable with project duration
Job Description The project fellow will assist in numerical modeling, laboratory work, data
analysis of field and laboratory testing, field instrumentation work and any other
work assigned by the project leader/ principal investigator for smooth execution
of the project work.
Desirable Qualification Tunneling and Underground Space Technology (TUST), M.Tech in any branch
with specialisation in Rock Mechanics, First Class throughout the academic
career.
Age and Relaxation Within 30 Years. Relaxable for experienced candidates. Age relaxation as per
Govt. Rules will be given for candidates of reserved category
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the date of interview through e-mail. Mere possession of minimum
qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as
per the requirement of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Dhanbad, if
required. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
Application on plain paper with CV containing photograph and relevant documents (self attested on each page) should be
delivered to Prof. R. K. Sinha, Department of Mining Engineering, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad – 826004. Original certificates
must be produced before the start of interview, for verification of the information provided in the application form, failing
which the candidature will be rejected. The candidates must take back their Original certificates immediately after the
verification.
