Sports Scientist/Strength and Conditioning Coach (MCWFC)
We are currently recruiting a Sports Scientist/Strength and Conditioning Coach on a full-time permanent
basis for Manchester City Women’s Football Club in Manchester. Reporting to the Head of Sports
Science & Medicine (MCWFC), the successful candidate will develop sport science and strength and
conditioning strategies across the women’s football team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and deliver strategies of how we physically profile, monitor training and develop the
athleticism of MCWFC players.
• Design and deliver team and individual (where appropriate) coaching sessions based upon
pedagogical and skill acquisition principles.
• Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary performance services team to help develop and
deliver wider performance support strategies such as recovery, rehabilitation and psychology.
• Be involved in devising and integrating performance- and well-being- related research projects
within MCWFC.
• Continue to develop professionally to ensure the department maintains high standards of
delivery.

The role holder will be expected to check and ensure all data source is correct and accurate as such
information will be integrated to support collaborative decisions regarding personalised athletic
development programmes, rehabilitation plans, team training schedules and team training camps.
