Please note that Tax as per Indian income tax regulations will be
deducted from the prize money awarded.

Medals: Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded in Open,


Women, Senior (Above 60 years), Under-20 (Open and Girls),
Under-18 (Open and Girls), Under-16 (Open and Girls), Under-14
(Open and Girls), Under-12 (Open and Girls), Under-10 (Open and
Girls), Under-8 (Open and Girls) categories. The medal winners will be
referred to as Commonwealth Medalists.

Entries: Each Commonwealth country is eligible to field one man, one
woman, One Senior (Above-60), one Junior Girl (Under-20), one Junior
Open (Under-20) player and one open and girl entries each in under-8,
10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 as official entrants. Their boarding and lodging
will be provided free in star hotel on triple sharing basis from 29th June
to 7th July 2019 for Open category and 30th June to 7th July 2019 for
Age Group Categories.
Other entrants will have to pay for the boarding and lodging at $110
(Single) and $ 75 (Double sharing) per day. Please note that, the
entry fee has to be paid by everyone unless qualifying for a free entry
under the ‘Entry fee’ section.
Entry of Indian players: Entries will be subject to confirmation of All
India Chess Federation (Refer Notice to Indian Players).
Registration: All Foreign Participants and accompanying persons will
have to pay registration 100 euros per head. This will include their
transportation from airport and back.

Time Control: 90 Minutes + 30 sec per move from move number 1.


Accommodation: All foreign participants / accompanying persons are
required to stay in official accommodation which has Star Facility with
three meals. Indian Players can arrange their own accommodation and
in case they require accommodation at official hotel please contact
organizing committee.

Tournament Rules:
System of Play:

The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE
Swiss System with 09 rounds in Open and 07 rounds in age category
events. The age category events will be conducted as separate age
events for Open & Girls, in case if there are not enough players (10
players minimum), the organizers have the right to merge section.
Tie Break:
In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect.
The Cash prizes however will not be shared.

RULES GOVERNING PARTICIPATION OF INDIAN PLAYERS

1. Following eligibility criteria will be followed while playing in India for


AICF registered players.

(a) Players who have participated in the 2018 National Championships


(Under-25 / senior national and women national) alone will be eligible to be
considered in Open category. Further players desirous of competing in the
age group category should have participated in the corresponding age
group 2018 Nationals. For example, those who want to participate in
Under - 16 category should have participated in the 2018 National Under -
15 championship.

(b) Participation in 2018 National Rapid & Blitz / National Amateur / National
School / National Team will not be considered under the above category.

(c)All GMs/IMs/WGMs/WIMs, all medal winners in Asian / World in the


immediate previous year championships, are permitted to participate as
donor/special entries, even if they have not participated in the respective
2018 National championship.

(d) Players who have not participated in the 2018 age group Nationals
championship but have won medals in 2018 Asian / world will be allowed in
the particular age group category only in which they have won medals

(e) Further all 2018 National Champions are eligible to participate as donor /
special entry in open category.

2. All players competing for age category have to produce valid DOB
certificate from Panchayat/Municipality/Corporation within one year of birth
as per AICF’s regulations.

3. Indian players can make their own accommodation for their stay. In
case they require accommodation in official hotel, necessary payments as
per regulations need to be paid in advance.
