CO 1: Create solid models of components using the advanced solid modelling
tools.

CO 2: Create surface models of components using the surface modelling tools.

CO 3: Assemble the solid components using the assembly modelling tools and
prepare the product drawing/drafting.

CO 4: Perform the kinematic analysis of simple mechanisms using the kinematic


simulation tools.

Class 8: Kinematic Simulation - 1

Exercise 8.1 Simulate the 4-Bar Mechanism shown in Figs. 8.1 and 8.2 for constant
crank rotation and generate plots for position, velocity, and acceleration of the tip of the
longest link. Also, generate linear speed and linear acceleration versus crank angle
of any point on the output crank.

Class 9: Kinematic Simulation - 2

Exercise 9.1 Simulate the Slider Crank mechanism shown in Figs. 9.1 and 9.2 for
constant crank rotation and generate plots for position, velocity, and acceleration of the
slider. Also, plot graphs for linear speed and linear acceleration of any point on the
CONNNECTING ROD versus Crank Angle. Change units from default to ‘inches’.
