Before we start, let’s have a review by answering the
following questions with True or False. Directions: Tell whether the statement is True or

belief or behavior in order to fit within a group.

Direction: (Group Reporting) The class will be
divided to four groups. Each group will be assigned Four Types
to report regarding types of conformity. They will Group 1 - Compliance Conformity
present it in front for 3 minutes, afterwards, the Group 2 - Internalization Conformity
audience will be given a chance to ask question/s. Group 3 - Identification Conformity
Group 4 - Ingratiational Conformity

What are the positive and negative impact of


conforming? There will be unity on the other hand some cannot
express what they really feel.

the lesson

What are the four types of conformity? Compliance Conformity, Identification Conformity,
Internalization Conformity and Ingratiational
Conformity.
Very good! Why is social conformity important in
society? It is the basis on how are we going to behave as a
person.

Very good! What else? It is important to avoid mistakes so that there will be
no violators.
Good. What if you did not conform with the rules,
how will it affect you as a student? You will be penalized or subject for discrimination by
others.

Very good! Now take a look at these primary colors-


yellow & blue, see what happens when I mixed two
colors. It turned green.

Correct! So what signifies these two colors? Our culture, beliefs and race.

Very good! And what is signifies green? That despite of our differences, we become united
through obeying our laws.
Very good! In our school, what form of social control
is applicable or effective in resolving violations? We have student contract which states the rules and
regulations of the school.

In today’s modern society, what form of social control is applicable or effective in resolving criminality?
Write one paragraph essay in a half sheet of paper.
