Billionaire’s row: Top conglomerates on nation-building

The Billionaire’s row: Top conglomerates on nation-building is the title because, it explain that

on how their sprawling billion dollar empires have been doing to contribute to nation building,

and as well as their corporation binds as one like on how they manage or handle their own

business. That will help us to benefit, to satisfy and reach our dream towards nation building.

Review:

Based on the article, it is all about Nation-Building. It is the creation or development of a nation,

especially one that has recently become independent. The important component of nation-

building are Economic, social and political development, and institutions which protect human

rights and provide for the rule of law, are important not only to post-conflict peace building,

but to nation building at any stage of development or any stage of conflict. Jose Almonte once

said, “Building our nation is a continuing struggle. A collective work in progress. It is an endless

journey like a relay without end. All we can do is pass on the baton-forged in the core values

our heroes died for: dignity, honor, freedom, justice, self determination, peace- to the next

runner, to the next generation”. All the interviewees answered the questions of Ms. Iris

Gonzales, on what way they are contribute in building nation. There was an answer that

having a good heart is a foundation in building nation, believes that growth as a group of

companies should go together with the development of the communities where they are

operate in, their responsibility is to protect the environment from further harm etc. Most of

them contributed a lot in nation building, they have their own different ways and strategies on

how they can help in nation building. Most of them as well, are building foundations that will
really help the community to survive. One are imposing House of investments , Education,

Community Assistance, Health Care, Catalyst, Poverty Reduction etc, that will benefit the

Filipino people. But still some are not enough to satisfy our dream in nation-building. The topic

shows that every citizen of this country will help in nation building, but we choose to close our

mouth and seeing like everything is alright, that there is no problem. We cannot choose the

perfect one but at least a good path we want for our country.” Dreaming without striving for it

is a nonsense thought at all”.

You, me, and everyone we know

You, me and everyone we know, concerned to the progress of nation-building. All of us as a

Filipino Citizen must aware for what is happening in our country, though we do not have the

power to hear us, just voice it out and tell what is your opinion regarding the issue. Much better

to find a way to change the progress, than waiting for a progress to change without doing

nothing.

Review:

Nation-building, as we think of it as of today it was impossible to work on progress, but as long

as we care about it, and think of the solution to make it progressive it will be very possible. As a

Filipino citizen we must critize everything happens on our country especially we are belong to it.

Every little thing happens was supposed to know of all the citizens in the country. Someone told

Iris Gonzales that maybe we weren’t meant to be a nation because we have wasted every
opportunity to become a better society. To dream for the sake of our nation-building is one of

the important thing for us. It will benefit us in the near future in whatever happens on our lives.

We must need unity to voice out what is the truth. We need to start from our own time to

pursue our dream that is, to build a better nation-building. It is something we should value in

our hearts, something we should remember every day. We are Filipinos, and love of country is a

fundamental duty of every citizen. We should be obsessed with moving the Philippines forward

invest, more, build more, create more jobs- care more. Thus, what happens to this country in

the next decade and the decades after that, really depends on all of us—you and me everyone

we know.
