I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The Learner demonstrates understanding of the elements of Shintoism:
a. Founders: Prehistoric animists of Japan
b. Sacred texts: Kojiki and Nihongic.
c. Doctrines: belief in kami, divinity of emperors.
d. Gods: kami (animist and nature spirits)
e. Issues: Shrine visits of Japanese prime ministers.

B. Performance Standards The learner interprets the Kojiki creation story creatively.
C. Learning Competencies /  Explain why is it importance for Japanese people to worship God. (EsP-
Objectives. PD11/12EI-Ii-j-14.2).

V. PROCEDURES
Review: The teacher will ask the students the following question:
Introductory Activity 1. What can you say about your presentation yesterday?
( 10 minutes). 2. What are your realization in doing the activity?

Drawing One's Emotions: The teacher will ask the students the following
questions:
1. Do you believe in God?
2. Who is God for you.
Transition: the teacher will invite and encourage the students to maintain the good
condition as they prepare the next session by having healthy and sound body and
mind.

Introduction of the topic. The teacher will play a song which themes tells about
the quality of God.
Activity/Strategy The teacher will require the students to make a concept map of who God is base on
(10 minutes). the song and of their own experiences.
Analysis Processing questions:
(5 minutes).  How did you find the activity? Why?
• Do you like the activity?
Abstraction  The students are group into 5 groups each group will research why believing
(10 minutes). God is important for Japanese People.

 The teacher will point a leader, secretary and reporter base of their outputs.

 They will be graded by group.


Application Expository essay: The teacher will require the students to make an expository essay
(5 minutes). to retain their learning.
Assessment The students will complete the following statements:
(20 minutes).
1. Shintoism is the belief of ________________________________
2. Believing God is important for Shinto because________________________
3. I believe in God because _________________________________________
4. God for me is__________________________________________________
5. I will show my love to God by ____________________________________
