RPUX AD 2.20 LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

1. Airport Regulations

1.1 Aerodrome is designated as parachute jumping area. Parachute jumping must be coordinated with
tower.

2. Taxiing - limitations

2.1 Taxi from ramp area to holding position due tall trees obstructing the view of control tower on
taxiway and take-off area of RWY35.

3. Special Procedures for the Conduct of Training Flights

3.1 This procedure is to provide guidelines for both Air Traffic Control and Pilot Schools to enhance
safety of flight operations at Plaridel Community Airport.

3.2 Procedures

3.2.1 Plaridel Community Airport Control Tower

a. There shall only be a maximum of 4 aircraft in the traffic circuit.

b. Solo flight must be given priority in the traffic circuit.

c. Solo flight must accordingly be stipulated in the flight plan.

3.2.2 Pilot Schools

1. The instructor will only release the student for first solo flight after performing satisfactorily the
following:

a. Go-around procedure;

b. Correct bouncy-landing;

c. Correct undershot and/or overshot approaches; and

d. Proficient in understanding and assimilating ATC clearances and instructions.

2. Before releasing the student for first solo flight, the instructor must inform Plaridel Tower of
his intention and proceed to the Tower for flight supervision purposes.

RPUX AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURES

Except as otherwise provided or as instructed by ATC, the following procedures shall apply to both
fixed and rotary aircraft.

1. Procedure for VFR Flights

1.1 General

1.1.1 All aircraft operating within Plaridel Training Area 6 (RP/T-6) shall monitor and maintain a
continuous listening watch on 122.4MHZ.

1.1.2 All aircraft in flight or on maneuvering areas of the Plaridel Aerodrome Traffic Zone shall be subject
to Air Traffic Control.

1.1.3 All aircraft operating outside Plaridel Aerodrome Traffic Zone but within 10NM limit of Training Area
6 shall:

a. be provided with traffic information as far as practicable under the provisions for Class D of
ATS airspace classification;

b. advise their position and intention on 122.4MHZ;

c. at all times maintain VFR and be responsible to maintain adequate separation from each
other.

1.1.4 All departing VFR flights shall maintain a continuous listening watch on Plaridel Control Tower
frequency 122.4MHZ up to 10NM.

1.1.5 All departing flights shall climb to 300 feet altitude before executing any turns.

1.1.6 All arriving flights shall contact Plaridel Control Tower on frequency 122.4MHZ, at least 15NM
before entering Plaridel Training Area 6 (RP/T-6).

1.1.7 All aircraft overflying the Plaridel Aerodrome Traffic Zone shall fly at least 2 500 feet altitude to fly
5NM abeam east or west of Plaridel Aerodrome Traffic Zone (ATZ).

1.1.8 The words “suggest” and “advise” shall be used when a course of action is proposed to an aircraft
to elevate level of safety outside the Plaridel ATZ.

2. VFR Departure Flights

2.1 Northbound Aircraft

a. Runway 35 Take-off: After take-off, straight-out departure, climb to and maintain 700 feet up
to 5NM, report over Lourdes at 1 000 feet or below before proceeding to destination climbing
to proposed VFR level.

b. Runway 17 Take-off: Make a right downwind departure and maintaining downwind heading
climbing 700 feet up to 5NM traversing east of NLEX, then report over Lourdes at 1 000 feet
or below before proceeding to destination.

2.2 Northwest-bound Aircraft

a. Runway 35 Take-off: Straight-out departure to at least 2NM before heading NW towards


Apalit. Report over Apalit at 1 000 feet or below before proceeding to destination.

b. Runway 17 Take-off: Make a right climbing turn direct to Apalit. Report over Apalit at 1 000
feet or below before proceeding to destination.

2.3 Northeast-bound Aircraft

a. Runway 35 Takeoff: Straight-out departure to at least 2NM before heading NE towards San
Rafael. Report over San Rafael at 1 000 feet or below before proceeding to destination.

b. Runway 17 Takeoff: Make a left climbing turn direct to San Rafael. Report over San Rafael
at 1 000 feet or below proceeding to destination.

2.4 Southbound Aircraft

a. Runway 35 Takeoff: Make a left downwind heading up to at least 2NM before heading
towards Bulacan, Bulacan or Bocaue NLEX Toll plaza. Report over Bulacan or Bocaue NLEX
toll plaza at 1 000 feet or below before proceeding to destination.

b. Runway 17 Takeoff: Straight-out departure to at least 2NM before heading Bulacan, Bulacan
or Bocaue NLEX Toll plaza. Report over Bulacan or Bocaue NLEX Toll plaza at 1 000 feet or
below before proceeding to destination.

2.5 Westbound Aircraft

a. Runway 35 Takeoff: Make a left crosswind departure, maintain crosswind heading at least
2NM before headinf towards Hagonoy. Report over Hagonoy at 1 000 feet or below before
proceeding to destination.

b. Runway 17 Takeoff: Make a straight out departure to at least 2NM before heading towards
Hagonoy via Malolos flyover. Report over Hagonoy at 1 000 feet or below before proceeding
to destination.

3. VFR Arrival Flights

3.1 From the North

a. Runway 35 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4 MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
Candaba Swamp and report over Lourdes at 1 500 feet or above. Proceed west of Viaduct
maintaining at least 1 000 feet altitude then join left downwind.

b. Runway 17 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4 MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
Candaba Swamp and report over Lourdes at 1 500 feet or above. Maintain southbound
heading and report at least 5NM for possible straight-in approach, if disapproved, fly and
proceed overhead the airport maintaining at least 1 000 feet then join upwind.

3.2 From the Northwest

a. Runway 35 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
San Fernando and report over Apalit at 1 500 feet or above. Proceed west of Viaduct
maintaining at least 1 000 feet to join left downwind.

b. Runway 17 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
San Fernando and report over Apalit at 1 500 feet or above. Proceed over Viaduct for
possible right base entry, if disapproved, proceed overhead the airport maintaining at least
1 000 feet to join upwind.

3.3 From the Northeast

a. Runway 35 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound and report
over San Rafael at 1 500 feet or above. Proceed west of Viaduct maintaining at least 1 000
feet then join left downwind.

b. Runway 17 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound and report
over San Rafael at 1 500 feet or above then proceed and report over Baliuag for possible
straight-in approach, if disapproved, proceed overhead the airport maintaining at least 1 000
feet then join upwind.

3.4 From the West

a. Runway 35 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
Hagonoy maintaining 1,500 feet or above then proceed and report over Malolos flyover for
possible left base entry, if disapproved. Proceed overhead the airport maintaining 1 000 feet
to join upwind.

b. Runway 17 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
Hagonoy at 1 500 feet or above then proceed and report over Malolos flyover for a right
downwind entry.

3.5 From the South

a. Runway 35 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
Bocaue NLEX Toll Plaza or Bulacan, Bulacan at 1 500 feet or above. Proceed over Tabang
Toll Plaza for possible straight-in approach, if disapproved, proceed over the airport
maintaining 1 000 feet then join upwind leg.

b. Runway 17 Landing: Contact Plaridel Tower on 122.4MHZ at least 15NM inbound or over
Bocaue NLEX Toll Plaza or Bulacan, Bulacan at 1 500 feet or above then proceed over
Malolos flyover maintaining 1 000 feet to join right downwind leg.

4. Communication Failure (NORDO) Procedures

Either Runway 17 or Runway 35 in-use:

All aircraft experiencing NORDO condition within Plaridel ATZ, either inbound or forming part of the
traffic pattern, in the absence of instructions from the Control Tower, shall apply the following
procedures:

a. Observe the air traffic flow and sequence itself from other known and observed traffic prioir
to entering the traffic circuit or pattern of the runway-in-use, or if already forming part of the
pattern, shall continue its approach and watch out for the light signals from the control tower.
If no signal is received, NORDO aircraft shall continue its approach and fly at an appropriate
altitude and rock its wing to call the attention of the Tower and to notify NORDO condition.

b. If no signal is observed and the intended runway-in-use is CLEAR OF TRAFFIC, NORDO


aircraft shall continue its approach and LAND, and after clearing the active runway, continue
to observe for light gun signals from the Tower immediately of its condition at the soonest time
after landing.

5. Helicopter Operations

5.1 General

5.1.1 Except when clearance is obtained from air traffic control unit, VFR helicopter flights shall not take-
off and land at Plaridel Airport or within its Aerodrome Traffic Zone.

a. When the ceiling is less than 1 000 feet; or

b. When the ground visibility is less than 1.5KM (1 Mile).

5.1.2 Departing helicopter shall air-taxi from the designated helipad to the middle of the runway for
takeoff.

5.1.3 Arriving helicopter shall land on the runway and air-taxi to the designated helipad.

5.2 Helicopter Routes


Helicopter routes are designated as H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, H7 and H8.

5.2.1 H1:

a. Northwest bound H1 is from Shell Station of NLEX at 500FT flying on the north side of Tabang
Spur Road connecting to McArthur Highway direct to San Simon Toll Gate. Fly on the east
side of NLEX.

b. Southeast bound H1 is from San Simon Toll Gate at 500FT flying on the west side of
McArthur Highway connecting to Tabang Spur Road direct to Shell Station west of NLEX.

5.2.2 H2:

a. Northbound H2 is from Shell Station east side of NLEX and track 3 nautical miles east of
Maharlika Highway direct to San Rafael at 500FT. Then fly along the east side of Maharlika
Highway.

5.2.3 H3:

a. Southbound H3 is from the west side of Maharlika Highway at 500FT direct to Baliuag. Fly
1/2 mile east of Maharlika Highway direct to Tabang Toll Gate.

5.2.4 H4:

a. Westbound H4 is from Sta. Rita Toll Gate flying at 300FT on the left side of Sumapa-Ligas
Road direct to Malolos Flyover.

5.2.5 H5:

a. Northbound H5 is from Tabang Interchange direct to Walter Mart at 500FT.

5.2.6 H6:

a. H6 is from Apalit direct to Baliuag Purina at 300FT.

5.2.7 H7:

a. H7 is from Baliuag Purina direct to Robinson at 500FT.

5.2.8 H8:

a. H8 is from Shell Station east side of NLEX direct to Walter Mart at 500FT.

5.3 VFR Inbound Routes

5.3.1 From the Northwest:

Contact Plaridel Control Tower when over Apalit at 500FT. Fly H6 and H7. Report over Robinson,
join the appropriate helicopter pattern or as instructed by the Control Tower.

5.3.2 From the North:

Contact Plaridel Control Tower before entering the Aerodrome Traffic Zone at 500FT. Fly direct to
Baliuag Purina. Fly H7. Report over Robinson, join the appropriate helicopter pattern or as
instructed by the Control Tower.

5.3.3 From Southwest:

Contact Plaridel Control Tower before entering the Aerodrome Traffic Zone at 500FT. Fly direct to
Tabang Interchange. Fly H5. Report over Walter Mart , join the appropriate helicopter pattern or as
instructed by the Control Tower.

5.3.4 From the South:

Contact Plaridel Control Tower when over Shell Station of NLEX at 500FT. Fly H8. Report over
Walter Mart, join the appropriate helicopter pattern or as instructed by the Control Tower.

5.4 VFR Outbound Routes:

5.4.1 Northwest Bound:

a. Runway 35 departure: Make a left turn towards San Simon Toll Gate at 500FT. Proceed to
the destination flying on the east side of NLEX.

b. Runway 17 departure: Make straight out departure and connect to H4 and H1. Proceed to the
destination flying on the east side of NLEX.

5.4.2 Northbound:

a. Runway 35 departure: Make a right turn towards H2. Proceed to the destination flying on the
east side of Maharlika Highway.

b. Runway 17 departure: Make a left turn towards H2. Proceed to the destination flying on the
east side of Maharlika Highway.

5.4.3 Southwest Bound:

a. Runway 35 departure: Make a left downwind departure towards Malolos Flyover then
proceed to the destination.

b. Runway 17 departure: Make a right turn towards Malolos Flyover then proceed to the
destination.

5.4.4 Southbound:

a. Runway 35 departure: Make a right turn towards H3. Proceed to the destination flying on the
west side of NLEX.

b. Runway 17 departure: Make a straight out departure towards H1. Proceed to the destination
flying on the west side of NLEX.
