Coding: Physician’s
Practice
80 Hours

Course Description
If you are interested in becoming a nationally certified coder within the medical coding field, then this is the
course that will take you there. As a result, at the completion of this 80 hour course, you will sit for the American
Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certification Examination right here at Towson University.

This accelerated course will integrate all elements of the coding process including:
• Comprehensive overview of ICD-10 coding applications with instruction on proper application of codes
• Comprehensive overview of CPT coding applications with instruction on proper application of codes
• Introduction to operative reports
• Comprehensive introduction to HCPCS coding
• Boot camp review and administrations of CPC exam
• Tuition includes: cost of course, books, student membership in AAPC and the CPC Exam.
