Narrative Report
The School Disaster Risk Reduction Management is doing its part in informing and
preparing students in times of natural calamities. This is done through different efforts made
by the School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator, Mr. Alfredo Z. Sevilla. There
are many activities being implemented in the school in order to make the students resilient
in times of natural calamities.
One of which starts with preparing and providing the SDRRM Corner that enables the
students to be aware on what things they should know and do in times of emergency. The
SDRRM Corner is made in order for the students to be reminded of being prepared whenever
natural calamities arises. Aside from the awareness campaign through providing SDRRM
Corner, the School Coordinator also give the students the update on the new warning signals
provided by the PAG-ASA as well as the rainfall signals being used. He also notify the students
that there’s a need for them to segregate their garbage/ trashes properly. By this activity they
will be used to proper waste disposal, thus reducing the risk of its negative effects on the
environment and on its people. Furthermore, he strengthened this campaign by making the
students known to the consequences of not following the school order. Those sections that
will be caught violating this campaign will surely have consequences for it, like they will be
the one to segregate the garbage of the school. Each classroom should provide their own
trash bins in which they will segregate their trashes and leftovers. Trash bins should be
labelled as to biodegradable, non-biodegradable and recyclable. Another important activity
that the school conduct is the earthquake drill which is being done quarterly.
