Assalam o alaikum and Good Morning to all the dignitaries, guests and
Students
with great joy and immense exultation.
I Faria Nadeem on behalf of Pak Physio Association, feel privileged to
extend my warm welcome to all the worthy guests and Students present
here for this Workshop on Kinesiology Taping.
I would like to officially begin our Workshop with recitation of few versus
from the Holy Quran.
Jazak Allah...
The Almighty says: “ And if anyone saves a life; it (his act) would be as
though he
has saved the life of all people.”
The medical profession has been characterized since its dawn in history by
the
tremendous responsibilities its practitioners shoulder: extensive knowledge,
proper morals, performance dedication, self-denial, and mercy towards all
people
without discrimination.
Medical ethics draw their essence from Islamic teachings, which call for
honesty,
sound performance, and God consciousness in every act.
Physiotherapy is a health care profession aimed at changing and improving
the
mobility, physical independence and quality of life. It focuses on treating a
variety
of conditions including but not limited to Musculoskeletal, Neurological,
Cardio-Respiratory, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Women Health and Sports Injuries.
Physiotherapy diagnosis is based on principles of clinical decision making
through examination, evaluation, prognosis, interventions and outcome
evaluation.
Today in this workshop we'll be focusing on all these key principles. The
overall
workshop objective is to Teach Practical Use of Kinesiology Taping.The
Kinesiology Taping Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that
is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing
support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s
range of motion.
Now, I'd like to introduce our honourable Chief Guest none other than
Professor Doctor Sajid Rasheed,Sir we are honoured to welcome you with all
our hearts and affection.We are lucky to have such a big name among us.
Professor Dr. Sajid Rasheed has worked sucessfully for a long time in
Children Hospital Multan and is now Sucessfully running Multan College of
Physiotherapy Multan as a Principal since 7 years.Give a big round of
applause for our chief guest.
I would also like to welcome our guests of honour Dr. Azfar Khursheed-Vice
Principal of Jinah institute of health sciences Multan, Dr.Rehan Ramzan-Vice
Principal of Multan College of Physiotherapy Multan,MMDC, Dr Chaman Lal
Head of Physiotherapy department Children Hospital Multan, Dr. Suleman
Kamboh-Director , Multan Institute of health sciences multan.
Now coming to our workshop, I would like to introduce our speaker Doctor
Muhammad Asif Mayo,Who is the 2nd best certified mulligan practioner out of
only 5 all over Pakistan.
Doctor Muhammad Asif has done his bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
from Allama Iqbal Medical College and His Masters in Orthopedic Manual
Physical therapy from Riphah international University.He has done his
fellowship diploma in therapeutic exercises from London Academy of Sports
and Health Sciences - U.K.
Now I request Dr. Muhammad Asif to come on stage and Start the Workshop.

Concluding this great workshop I'd like to thank our honorable guests who
spared
time for us and made us learn from his research and experiences! It was a
great
day for all the students and I'm sure they'll go back home with a great
understanding of how to use Kinesiology Taping in their field.Special Thanks
to Doctor Usama Ghazanfar and Doctor Fahad Iftikhar for putting in so much
effort and making this workshop a
success story. Thank you everyone!
