IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GRADE 11 CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM


FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2017-2018

1. Pursuant to the mandate set forth in DepEd Memorandum No. 165, s. 2017 on the “Implementation of Grade 11 Career
Guidance Program for SY 2017-2018” and considering that this Division has already rolled-out the said Grade 11
Modular Program to the rest of the remaining Senior High Schools of Leyte as per Division Memorandum Nos. 024 and
055, dated February, 2018, all Secondary School Heads with Senior High School Offerings are hereby advised to
ensure and supervise the implementation of these Career Guidance Modules in close coordination with their
respective guidance counselors / coordinators / advocates the soonest possible time.
2. The Modular Program aims to:
a) apply decision-making skills to career planning course selection and career transitions; and
b) realize that the changing workplace requires lifelong learning and acquiring new skills.

3. The Grade 11 teachers and or the career guidance advocates who were trained during the Regional and Division
MTOT are thus enjoined to immediately cascade the said Program to their Grade 11 class advisers who in turn will
deliver the same to their respective classes during the weekly Homeroom Guidance periods. The school guidance
counselors or designated guidance coordinators shall assist the advisers and make the necessary arrangements
on the conduct of the said modules and shall accomplish the Monitoring Report Form provided in the Enclosures.

4. Expenses related to the conduct of this Grade 11 Career Guidance Program shall be charged to local funds or the School
MOOE as provided again in DepEd Memorandum No. 165, s. 2017 subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules
and regulations.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GRADE 12 CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM


FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2018-2019

1. In line with the mandate set forth in DepEd Memorandum No. 165, s. 2017 on the “Implementation of Grade 11 Career
Guidance Program for SY 2017-2018” and considering that there is a sequel/follow-up to the said program this time
for Grade 12 and considering further that this Division has already rolled-out the corresponding Grade 12 Modular
Program to the rest of the remaining Senior High Schools of Leyte as per Division Memorandum Nos. 214 and 238,
dated May 3 and May 23, 2018, all Secondary School Heads with Senior High School Offerings are hereby advised
to ensure and supervise the implementation of the Grade 12 Career Guidance Modules in close coordination
with their respective guidance counselors / coordinators / advocates the soonest possible time.
2. The Modular Program aims to:

3. The Grade 12 teachers and or the career guidance advocates who were trained during the Regional and Division

deliver the same to their respective classes during the weekly Homeroom Guidance periods and preferably two modules
per month until the end of the 1st semester. The school guidance counselors or designated guidance coordinators
shall assist the advisers and make the necessary arrangements on the conduct of the said modules and shall
accomplish the Monitoring Report Form provided in the Enclosures.

4. Expenses related to the conduct of this Grade 12 Career Guidance Program shall be charged to local funds or the School
MOOE as provided again in DepEd Memorandum No. 165, s. 2017 subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules
and regulations.
