DAILY LESSON LOG
Area
Teaching
Dates and Quarter 4th
( 8hours)
Time

Days 1-4
I. Objectives
1. Content Standards The learner demonstrate an understanding of concepts and underlying principles in terminating and connecting
electrical wiring and electronic circuirs
2. Performance Standards Learner shall be able to demonstrate proper termination and connection of electrical wiring

3. Learning Competencies TLE_IACSS9-12UHT-IIb-23

Lo2: Testing termination/ connection of electrical wiring/ electronic circuits

II. CONTENT  Proper procedure in conducting in conducting testing of termination/ connection of electrical wiring
/electronic circuit.
 Proper procedure in checking wirings and circuits using specified testing procedure
 Protocol in responding to unplanned conditions
III. LEARNING RESOURCES

A. References
1.Curriculum Guide pages 16
2. Learner’s Materials pages
3.Textbook pages https://lubangvhs.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/terminating-and-connecting-of-electrical-wirings-and-electronics-

4.Additional Resources
5.Other Learning materials
IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Name the following hand tools in networking
presenting the new lesson

B. Establishing a purpose for the Voltage ‐ The measure of the push on each electron which makes the electron move. The term potential
lesson or presenting new lesson difference and voltage are often used interchangeably to mean the “push”, thus, you may see the term
electromotive force (EMF) or just the word potential to describe the electron push in certain instances.
Current ‐ The flow of electrons in the circuit.
Resistance ‐ The opposition to current flow.
Power ‐ The rate of doing work. Resistor ‐ A device designed intentionally to have a definite amount
of resistance
Capacitor ‐ A device that stores electrical energy. Termination - The point where a line, channel or circuit ends.
OHS ‐ Occupational Health and Safety
C. Presenting Examples/instances of
the new lesson

D.Discussing new concepts and  Tell - The teacher will discuss different kinds of electrical components.
practicing new skills #1  Guide – the teacher will guide them how to test, connect and terminate electronic circuits.
 Act – Let the students conduct proper procedure in checking wirings and circuits using specified testing
procedure and shows proper procedure in responding to unplanned conditions
E.Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills #2

F. Developing mastery Let the students sequence the important steps in Circuit Designing
G. Finding practical applications of
concepts and skills in daily living

H. Making generalization and A simple circuit contains the minimum things needed to have a functioning electric circuit
abstraction about the lesson  Source‐ a device used to supply AC or DC voltage
 Consuming‐ any device that consumes voltage, whatever component or piece of equipment that is connected to
a source and draws current from a source is a load on that source.
 Controlling‐ any device having two states, on (closed) or off (open). Ideally having zero impedance when closed
and infinite impedance when open.
 Protecting‐a component used to open the circuit when current exceeds a predetermined maximum value.
 Connecting‐ a material that conducts electric current very well and used to connect a complete path for current.
I. Evaluating learning

c. protecting device
d. consuming device
e. connecting device

V.REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION

A. No. learners who earned 80% in

the evaluation
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for remediation
C.Did remedial lesson work? No. of
learners who have caught up with the
lesson
D. No. of learners who continue to
require remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies
worked well?
Why did this work?
F. What difficulties did my principal or
supervisor can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover which I
wish to share with other teachers?
