    6.1 Classification Tests

    6.1.1 Carry out classification tests:

    6.2 Detailed Compaction Studies

    6.2.1 Carry out compaction test with a 4.5kg hammer


    on remoulded samples, to Test 13 :

    6.2.1.1 At least 5 specimens at difference moisture shall be


    compacted to obtain the curve of "dry density against
    moisture content". Series -

    6.2.1.2 Firstly, compaction tests same as Item 6.2.1.1 shall


    be carried out. Secondly for each of the specimen
    compacted, unsoaked California Bearing Ratio (Test
    16) shall be carried out, on both the top and bottom
    of the specimen.
    The curve of "CBR against moisture content" shall
    also be reported. Series -

    6.2.1.3 - Ditto - the 4 days soaked CBR test shall be carried


    out instead of the unsoaked CBR. Series -

    6.3 Soils strength tests

    6.3.1 Carry out strength tests on undisturbed samples:

    6.3.1.1 Unconfined Compression Strength (Test 20) or ASTM


    D2166-66 (1972). No. 3

    6.3.1.2 Unconsolidated undrained triaxial compression


    without pore-water measurement (Test 21) for one
    specimen only. No. -

    6.3.1.3 Similar to Item 6.3.1.2 - but involving at least 3 specimens


    to obtain the cohesion value and friction angle. Series 3
