I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learner will be able to:
Identify the different ingredients in baking a chocolate moist cake;
Follow procedures and exhibit how to bake a chocolate moist cake; and
Value the benefits of learning basic baking skills for future career
Q: What was our topic last meeting? A: The topic was all about basic baking
ingredients.
Q: What are the different types of ingredients? A: The types of ingredients are:
1. Dry ingredients

3. Minor ingredients
Q: Who can give me examples of dry A: flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder
ingredients?

C. Lesson Proper
What do you think are the dry ingredients 2 cups white sugar
needed for the chocolate moist cake? 1 ¾ cups flour
1 ½ cups unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoonful baking soda
1 teaspoonful baking powder
Salt

Now how about liquid ingredients?
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup vegetable oil/ ½ butter
1 cup hot water
Step 2
Mix all the dry ingredients and liquid
ingredients in a separate mixing bowl.
Afterwards, mix it altogether using a hand
mixer.
Step 3
Pour it in the round pan and place it in the
oven for about an hour. Check if the bottom is
thoroughly cooked using a toothpick.
Step 4
Prepare the frosting. Preheat the sauce pan
and pour 1 can of condensed milk. Let it
simmer then add cocoa and butter.
Step 5
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool
down at least 5 minutes. After, pour the
frosting from the top of the cake and put it in
the fridge for an hour.
Step 6
Serve with a cup of hot coffee or milk.
