Carrefour Organization Introduction:

Founded in 1992, Majid Al Futtaim is the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure
pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
A remarkable business success story, Majid Al Futtaim started from one man’s vision to
transform the face of shopping, entertainment and leisure to ‘create great moments for everyone,
every day’. It has since grown into one of the United Arab Emirates’ most respected and
successful businesses spanning 15 international markets, employing more than 40,000 people,
and obtaining the highest credit rating (BBB) among privately-held corporates in the region.
Majid Al Futtaim owns and operates 21 shopping malls, 12 hotels and three mixed-use
communities, with further developments underway in the region. The shopping malls portfolio
includes Mall of the Emirates, City Centre malls, My City Centre neighborhood centres, and four
community malls which are in joint venture with the Government of Sharjah. The Company
holds exclusive rights to the Carrefour franchise in 38 markets across Middle East, Africa and
Asia, and operates a portfolio of more than 210 outlets in 15 countries.

Carrefour aspires to recruit future store directors from among its department managers. For this
project it was necessary to enlist a tool with the ability to identify young individuals who are
capable of gaining competencies and progressing quickly within our hierarchy. Our potential
assessment, which was created together work with employees, has proven to be a highly
appropriate answer to our problem, enabling us to identify more than 90 young talents within the
first two years.

Interpersonal Role:
Some People can turn to when they need help,support.A manager needs to lead the people that
he or she charge of guiding toward a specific goal.
Being able to properly communicate with a range of people in such a way that the project remain
on track is a crucial skill to develop.

Information Role:
Thing are never static in business. It does not good as a manager to collect information form a
variety of internal and external sources if you are only going to keep it for yourself.

Decision Role:
You still need to thing like entrepreneur in term of quickly solving problem. A manager must be
decision maker of organization goals.
A good manager will be able to negotiate their way through these challenges and keep the project
on track for success.
Conclusion:

Carrefour showed success with its strategy in the world, many retailers quickly followed and the
retail Middle east industry reached maturity. The biggest Middle east retailer market Carrefour
entered many Asian country like Dubai.Pakistan.China etc it was faced with many opportunities
but also many challenges.
Through this, Carrefour is selling the Asian people the same products they can get from their
local markets in a cheaper and cleaner environment.
