Dear Ma’am:

A pleasant day!

The undersigned is a third year Chemical Engineering student and a DOST Scholar currently studying at
Batangas State University Main Campus II-Alangilan. Unfortunately and sadly to say, I got a failing grade
(5) in the subject ChE-301 which is Chemical Engineering Calculations 1 in this first semester of my third
year. Due to change of school brought by taking up of my major, it made me hard to cope with the new
environment and the difficulties of the subjects I enrolled. It was also a big challenge for me to live
separately with my family that I have to live with myself and away from them. Furthermore, this leads to
non-compliance to the required average and conditions reserved in this scholarship. Moreover, this case
concludes an additional semester for the program the undersigned had taken.

In this light, I would like to appeal to your good office for the continuation of my scholarship. This
scholarship has helped me so much, making my dream to be started to happen. Retaining this
scholarship grant will be really helpful for my financial needs. I full-heartedly promise to study better
and serve this as a driving force for me to strive more. I will make sure that it will do my very best to
pass all the subjects I am going to take.

I am very much hoping for a favorable response.

Thank you and more power!

Respectfully yours,

Emmanuel F. Falcon
