Lesson 40

I. Objective: Illustrates multiplication as repeated addition. M2NS-IIf-38

C. Konsepto: Para maipakita na ang multiplication ay repeated
addition,pagsamahin ng paulit-ulit ang multiplicand ayon sa kung ilang
beses na ipinapakita ng multiplier.
IV. Procedures:
 For 20-25 minutes, the expert teacher will discuss the lesson to the
learners
1. Have a short drill in addition
2. Give immediately an example and the rule or concept to be followed in
illustrating multiplication as repeated addition.

Halimbawa:

3. Discuss by asking the following questions:


Ilang sets ng tigtatatlo ang ipinapakita ng halimbawa sa itaas? 5 sets
Ilan ang nasa bawat sets o grupo? 3
Anong adition sentence o equation ang ipinakikita? 3+3+3+3+3+3= 15
Ilang beses pinagsama ang 3? 5 beses
Ano ang multiplication equation na mabubuo? 5x3+15
4. Pag-aralan ang kasagutan o illustration sa ibaba:
Addition: 3+3+3+3+3+3= 15
Mulltiplication: 5x3=15
5. Isaisip: 5-multiplier na ipinapakita ang bilang ng sets/grupo
X3 multilpicand na nagpapakita ng kabuuang bilang na nasa loob ng bawat
set
15 product kabuuang bilang ng mga nasa sets
 For the remaining minutes as to the time allotment, a Teacher Facilitator will
manage the learners by letting do the following:
6. Isagawa ang Gawain 1 na nasa Learning Activity Sheets.
7. Isagawa ang Gawain 2 at 3 na nasa Learning Activity Sheets.
8. Kunin ang ginawa ng mga bata.
9. Kung may natitirang oras pa, ipakopya sa mga bata ang Konsepto.

C. Konsepto: Para maipakita na ang multiplication ay counting by
multiples,kunin ang multiples na ipinapakita ng multiplicand na paulit-
ulit na imumultiply para makuha ang product o sagot.
IV. Procedures:
 For 20-25 minutes, the expert teacher will discuss the lesson to the
learners
1.Have a drill in basic multiplication
2.Give immediately an example and the rule or concept to be followed

Ang unang pangkat ay ang product ng 2x1
Ang Ikalawang pangkat ay ang product ng 2x2
Ang Ikatlong Pangkat ay ang product ng 2x3
Ang Ikaapat na pangkat ay ang product ng 2x4
Ang Ikalimang Pangkat ay ang product ng 2x5
Kaya ang multiples ng 2 ay ipinapakita sa illustration na 2,4,6,8,10.

I. Objective: Illustrate multiplication as equal jumps in the number

II. Subject Matter: Multiplication as equal Jumps in the Number Line

B. Materials: Learning Activity Sheets (LAS), drawings/illustrations
C. Konsepto: Sa pagpapakita na ang multiplication ay ang pare-
parehas na pagtalon sa number line,mahalagang malaman ang multiplicand
at ang multiplier. Ang multiplier ay nagpapakita ng equal jumps at ang
multiplicand naman ay ag bilang ng espasyo sa bawat pagtalon sa number
line.
III. Procedures:
 For 20-25 minutes, the expert teacher will discuss the lesson to the
learners
1. Give the rule or concept to be followed.
2. Give immediately the example.
3. Discuss and explain the number line presented

 For the remaining minutes as to the time allotment, a Teacher Facilitator will
manage the learners by letting do the following:

4. Let the pupils do Gawain 1-3 in the LAS.


5. Collect their work and have them work on their portfolio.
6. If there are still time, have learners copy the Concept notes.

Multiplication

IV. Procedures:
 For 20-25 minutes, the expert teacher will discuss the lesson to the
learners
1. Have a drill in Illustrating the following using a number line:
4x6 3x7 8x7 2x8 6x6
2. Give an example immediately and give the rule or concept to be followed.
(refer to the examples in the activity sheet)

 For the remaining minutes as to the time allotment, a Teacher Facilitator will
manage the learners by letting do the following:
3. Let the pupils do Gawain 1- 3 on their LAS.
4. Collect their answer sheets.
5. If there are still time, have learners copy the Concept notes.

I. Objective: Write a related equation for multiplication as counting
by multiples.
II. Lesson: Writing Related Equation for Each Type of Multiplication
III. A. Materials: LAS, Drawings/ Illustrations, flashcards
Konsepto: Sa pagsulat ng multiplication equation gamit ang counting
by multiples, ipinapakita ng multiplier kung ilan ang bilang ng mga
multiples samantalang ang multiplicand ay ang unang bilang sa mga
multiples.
IV. Procedures
 For 20-25 minutes, the expert teacher will discuss the lesson to the
learners
1. Drill on basic multiplication facts through flashcards.
2. Review on writing a related equation for each type of multiplication
3. Discuss the lesson. Have learners focus on the example and illustrations
given on their LAS.
Halimbawa:
Si Andy ay mahilig sa pagbabasa ng aklat. Nakababasa siya ng 2 aklat sa
loob ng isang oras. Ilang aklat ang natatapos niya sa loob ng 3 oras?

Kung itutuloy pa niya ang pagbabasa,ilang pahina ang mababasa niya sa loob ng 4
na minuto? 8
Ano ang multiplication equation nito? 2x4= 8
Ang 2 ay ang multiplicand,ito ang bilang ng mga multiples.
Ang 3 ay ang multiplier na nagpapakita kung ilang beses na pinagsasama ang 2.
At ang 6 ay ang product o kabuuang bilang ng mga binasang aklat.
4. Give more samples and show more illustrations until such time that learners
could get the concept of the lesson.
