    “The Three Core Values of Leyte Normal University; Integrity, Excellence and Service”

    The core values of the university are a statement of those institutional values and

    principles of conduct that provide the moral framework for students. The professional Leyte

    Normal University ethic consists of three fundamental and enduring values of integrity first,

    Excellence, and Service. This ethic is the set of values that guides the way Students live and

    perform. Success hinges on the incorporation of these values into the character of every

    Students. These values provide a foundation for leadership, decision-making, and success of

    the students of Leyte Normal University.

    The first Core Value of Leyte Normal University is Integrity. Integrity is the willingness

    to do what is right even when no one else is looking. It is the "moral compass"the inner voice,

    the voice of self-control, the basis for the trust imperative in today's Students. Integrity is the

    single most important part of character. People are watching us, not to see us fail, but to see us

    live up to their expectations.

    The Second Core Value of Leyte Normal University is Excellence. Excellence is the

    quality of being outstanding or extremely good. This core value demands the students

    constantly strive to perform at their best. It is a commitment to high standards and an

    understanding that each students has been entrusted. It is not only a professional obligation but

    a moral responsibility as well.

    The third core value of Leyte Normal University is Service. A valuable action, deed,

    or effort performed to satisfy a need or to fulfill a demand. It is the action of helping, doing

    work for someone. The Service Values define the behaviors that each of us demonstrate in

    person with our co-students, Teachers and Staff, and Families. Our values include exceptional

    service, supportive workplace interactions and a professional work ethic.


    Therefore, this core values of Leyte Normal University are general principles to

    regulate our day-to-day behavior. They not only give direction to our behavior but are also

    ideals and objectives in themselves. They are the expression of the ultimate ends, goals or

    purposes of social action. As a students of Leyte Normal University, we should possess this

    core values in order for us to become a better version of ourselves. This could help us to make

    good citizen of our society.
