    Carnatic notes : s r2 g2 m1 p d2 n2 Western notes : A# B# C# D# E# G G# (B# is nothing

    but C and E# is nothing but F) Shruthi : A# (6.5 kattai) ONLY FOR CARNATIC NOTES,
    UPPER(CAPITAL) CASE LETTERS INDICATE HIGHER OCTAVE "*" indicates lower octave. "--------"
    UNDER THE NOTES ARE FOR WESTERN NOTES ONLY WHERE IT INDICATES THAT THE NOTES ARE TO BE
    PLAYED IN SAME BOW AND A BIT FASTER. FOR CARNATIC NOTES, THIS IS REPRESENTED WITH NO
    SPACE BETWEEN NOTES. Since the shurthi is too high, you could either tune your violin to
    P S P S instead of S P S P or tune to any shruthi you like and play the notes below. tune
    the violin to A# only if you want to play in the same shurthi as the original song.
    However, Ituned my violin to G# and still started at A# making it a shankarabharana
    janyam instead of karaharapriya janyam. This is grahabedham. You could also change the
    shurthi to Eb (D#) as Sa which is madhyama shruthi making this a hindolam (with pa in
    some places). So you can play this song in many ragas based on the shurthi you choose and
    starting at A# only if you wnat to play in the same shruthi as the original song. If not,
    just follow the notes below with any shurthi. Pallavi :
