3. Clients in counseling- Most commonly known with three types. The Neurotic,Psychotic and
Personality Disordered type of client.
4. Social work- Any of various professional activities or methods concretely concerned with
providing social services and especially with the investigation, treatment, and material aid of
the economically, physically, mentally, or socially disadvantages.
5. Social action/ social reform- The one that advocates for reform of a certain area of society.
6. Analytic Psychology- A theory of mind that emphasizes the importance of wholeness for
each individual.
7. Scope of counselling- It is concerned with various problems and progress of an individual for
example the planning relating to financial and health problems, problems related to family,
society and emotional adjustments.
9. Social group work- A method that helps persons to enhance their social functioning through
purposeful group experiences and to cope more effectively with their personal, group or
community problems.
10. Applied social sciences- The study of society and the manner in which people behave and
influence the world.
11. Referral- The directing of a patient to a medical specialist by a primary care physician.

12. Counselling- Consulting a professional who you go to in order to talk about your problems and
to learn solutions for coping with stress or sadness.
14. Social case work- An ongoing process of exploration (study), assessment (diagnosis),
formulation of goals and treatment planning, intervention (treatment), evaluation and
termination (disengagement).
16. Social Science- A branch of science that deals with the institutions and functioning of
human society and with the interpersonal relationships of individuals as members of society.
18. Cognitive Theory - It is an approach to psychology that attempts to explain human behavior
by understanding your thought processes.
20. Counselling Methods - Adlerian therapy, behavioural therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy.
21. Assessment and Diagnosis - It is the process of gathering and evaluating data about a
patient’s symptoms, mental state, behaviors and background.
22. Social Work Tools - Listening, observation, interview, relationship and home visit.

29. Rehabilitative Function - Restoration of habitual acts from negative to a good condition one.

will only provide case feedback and advise pertaining to the EMDR treatment.

needs equally.
38. Preventive Goals- This helps the client avoid some undesired outcome.
39. Reinforcement Goals- Refers to anything stimulus that increases the probability of a
specific outcome.
40. Individual Assessment- Used as a basis for distinguishing issues, arranging interventions
and even diagnosing and educating customers.
41. Social Broker- A professional agent responsible for identifying, locating, and linking client
systems to needed resources.
42. Goal on Curing- Coping up with the problems that the patient’s life is facing.
43. Interpersonal skills- A skill that happens to be with you and others.
45. Sociology- The study of the development, structure, and functioning of human society.
46. Anthropology- the study of human societies and cultures and their development.
47. Termination and follow-up- The final stage of counselling that might still lead you to the
two choices, finishing the problem or needed to continue for follow up.
48. Jung’s Analytic Psychology- It emphasizes the importance of the individual psyche and the
personal quest for wholeness.

49. (REBT) Rational Emotive- Challenge the rationality of those feelings, and replace them with
healthier, more productive beliefs.
50. Behavior Therapy- This form of therapy seeks to identify and help change potentially
self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors.
51. Behavioral Techniques- Its common focus is on changing behaviors to improve mood and
overall functioning.
52. Group Counselling and Guidance- The primary purpose is to assist individual in the group.
53. Development Goals- Enhancing the client's effectiveness and ability to cope.
