• “Many” and “much” can be used to talk about a
portion or “part” of a quantity.
• “Many” and “much” can only be used in
negative sentences. “Many” is for countable
MANY AND nouns and “much” is for non-countable nouns.

• “I don’t have many razors in my bathroom”
• “She doesn’t need much shampoo today”
• “A lot of” or “lots of” can be used to talk about
a portion or “part” of a quantity.

sentences, and in questions, and they work for
