The Characteristic of Middle English Literature Middle English literature has several characteristics that reinforce the literary works of the period.
In this period, the first characteristic is the transition and it’s happened in 14t century. The several poets make literary works to try new media and
the other one still use the line of development in The Old Period. In this period also, some of the poets if they make literary work, just add their
name as author information. Or they didn’t add their name so it makes some poets not very well known. The longest-standing literary work of this
period is poetry. Some interesting poems at that time were poems in the fields of history, divinity, science. And from some characteristics of
