I am analyzing a well written brochure based on corona virus with

respect to its traits of the technical writing and seven C’s of


communication.
First of all we have to clear what are 7 C’s of communication?

 7C’s of Communication are stated below :

Clarity
Conciseness
Completeness
Concreteness
Correctness
Consideration
Courtesy

 Clarity :
The message you are providing should have precise goals in it. So
rather than providing too many things at the same time. Achieving clarity
in your sentences makes understanding easier and complete. Clarity of your
thoughts and ideas enhance the meaning of your delivered message. If the
user is able to read and understand the sentence simply then you have
achieve the clarity in your sentences. The given brochure is showing clarity
by common use of words, and composition of sentences are presenting
coherence in a paragraph. This leaflet is clear about data that it is giving and
doesn’t passing on numerous things.

 Conciseness :
Conciseness is a necessity for effective communication
Conciseness is the extent to which a piece of writing communicates clear
information in as few words as possible It is time-saving as well. Language
of the leaflet is compact as it doesn't have tedious articulations and
insignificant data.

 Completeness :
Completeness can be achieved by making sure that the text
is usable and accurate, and that significant information can be quickly found
and understood. It should convey all facts required by the audience. It leaves
no questions in the mind of receiver. This leaflet is giving a finished
message. This brochure convey complete message covering every single
detail of the event by effective use of pictures and charts and it contains
complete information about subject matter.

 Concreteness :
Concreteness is an aspect of communication that means
being specific, definite, and lucid rather than vague and general. A concrete
communication uses specific facts and figures. Concreteness means genuine,
specific or solid. Specific information about the subject matter is provided in
the brochure with facts and figures and it does not contain irrelevant
information in it, so it is conforming concreteness.

 Correctness :
Correctness means addressing your intended audience in an
appropriate manner. A correct use of language is preferable. In written
communication, grammatical errors must be avoided and stylistic mistakes
or a wrong use of verbs are also avoided. A correct use of language increases
honesty and the reader will feel that they are taken seriously. This brochure
is fully precise grammatically and logically. So it is completing the objective
of correctness. And punctuation and grammar is accurately used in it.

 Consideration :
Consideration in the seven Cs of communication is to put
oneself in the place of receiver while composing a brochure.
Consideration means understanding of human nature. Using this attitude is
beneficial to the reader, and reader emphasizes that writer is guiding the way
out for us.

 Courtesy :
Courtesy is the respect that we show to others and in
communication it means the same thing. You should show respect to your
reader by having courteous communication. The one sending the message
should be polite, sincere, keen, and reflective. in this brochure a clear use of
word “you” is followed throughout the brochure hence courtesy is also
achieved.
