About the company

STAD Solution is a start-up business by two friends, Ajaypalsinh Jhala(CEO & Marketing
Head) and Richa Mehta (Chief Technology Officer) from different branches with a common
future goal. STAD stands for Shriji Training and Development Solution, is situated in
Navrangpura Ahmedabad. They provide development service in different areas, Product
Development in form of I.T Development, Business Development in form of Marketing,
Career Development in form of placements. STAD solution also engaged in Skill
development service. They provide corporate trainings to the job seekers and upcoming IT
youths to fill the gap of knowledge between the industries and candidates. STAD Solution is
the recruiting partner of more than 150+ companies. It acts as a bridge between the
companies and candidates. It provides trained employees to the company which is more
beneficial for the company in comparison to hire unskilled fresher. They work as an IT
company and as a consultancy firm. STAD solutions tagline is, “With you, till benefit reach
to you”.

Structure of the company


Formal structure

When company was started, there were 6 employees including owners. Now, at present, there
are around 15 to 20 employees. Employees include CEO, Java Developers, HR, Android
Developers, PHP Developers, Software Tester, Project Manager, Marketing Manager,
Content writer, Business Development Executive. Whenever an employee joins, he/she has a
one-year bond with the company.
Informal Structure

For informal structure & communication, STAD solution celebrate different festivals


and they arrange various activities and events on those festivals for employees and
student.
On Independence day, they celebrated by decorating whole office where students
and employees participated in activities like roleplay, skit, quiz, singing patriotic
songs, etc. They even invited their past students who were part of STAD solution.

  Excluding classes, a soft music is always played in background. So development


team can work with relaxed mind.

         Lunch or Dinner is planned by employees outside office once in a month


including owners, to enjoy time together. They even invite sponsors of the company
for such gathering.

         Seminars are conducted by company where everyone gets chance to put a new
technology or such related to their branch.

         IT workshops are also conducted free of cost where students gets knowledge
about some of languages or new technology of IT. They even provide participation
certificate for those workshops.
 

Vision of the company

STAD imparts high-quality job-oriented Training, to the students who aspire to build solid
career in their field. We apply the teaching techniques and experiences that we have gathered
over the years while teaching several students and working on various projects.

Process of working:
Product development:

Product development is to build application based on Java, Android or website on PHP.


Here, first they discuss about what client wants in application and website. If they can
provide them all things needed by clients, then only they say yes. As, they believe not to take
projects that create problem for client as well as for company.
They ask for 1st half instalment from clients and then work is assigned to project manager.
Project Manager makes decision which employee will do which work and work is assigned.
After providing complete product to client then 2 nd instalment needed to be paid by client.
That’s how company works regarding product development.

Career Development and Skill Development:


They train students in IT field and who wants to get placed. They call students as they get
application from naukri.com. Business executive use LinkedIn, Indeed, times get information
of students who wants to get trained and schedule their interview. After interviewing them
they test them on basis of requirements of company. After that, they have various schemes
for training.

1.) Scholarship scheme:


In this scheme they conduct scholarship test, in which if student scores about 70%
he/she is applicable for scholarship.
Student will have to pay 5k less than other students and that don’t have to pay at
that time. After getting placed from STAD Solution, they have to give from their
salary. For Five months month 2k will cut down for their salary.

2.) Free placements:


STAD solution takes interview of students and if he/she is having good soft skills
according to client company requirements, they don’t charge them and make them
place.

3.) Crash Course 3 days training:


In this scheme 3 days training is provided to student and after getting call letter
they have to pay fees.

4.) Normal Training: In this, you have to pay first and then take training and get
placed.

The Existing communication patterns in the company

Currently, formal communication within company takes place through company’s mail
system, and through social media like WhatsApp group.

Every month a meeting is conducted between CEO and other employees, where CEO discuss
every task or decision company need to take and then hears everyone’s decision and then
imply accordingly. Even setting up certain rules, every employee decision is heard regarding
rule should be applied or not is taken and then rules are set accordingly.

At present, communication gap exists between seniors & juniors, as in CEO is very
dominating in nature and doesn’t communicate information and guidance clearly to the
employees

Conflicts between employees while working due to different mindsets and lack of
adaptability.

Lack of trust between employees of different department owning to increase in


communication gap and smooth flow of information

Inter-dependency between different departments gives rise to various conflicts which leads to
delaying of work.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The growth and development of any organisation solely depends upon the impression clients
and customers get from the organisation. It gives them the idea about the business and
various services the organisation offers. So it is very important for an organisation to have
proper communication with the clients, customers as well as with the employees. Some of the
recommendations for “STAD Solutions” are as follows:

SHORT TERM RECOMMENDATIONS:

Most of the employees in an organisation want to do the right thing. They wish that their
company should succeed. But, these “best employees” along with their best intentions need to
know where to go. They need certain guidelines to follow. Without directions, there will be a
lot of chaos that keeps the employees- and ultimately the company- from moving ahead.

The same situation is happening with “STAD Solutions”. Their vision statement is lacking
the company’s future planning and growth. Their vision statement only talks about what
services they offer. The statement is lacking on the future position of the company. The
future position of the company is very important, as it serves as a key element for employee
motivation.

The vision and mission statements are very integral part of any organisation that defines the
purpose of the organisation and implant a sense of belonging and identity to the employees.
This motivates them to work harder in order to achieve success.

The vision statement of “STAD Solutions” is also missing the mentioning of their core
business. What they are actually into. Such distorted mission and vision statement confuse
the employees and hence they do not put their soul into their work.

“STAD Solutions” need to redefine their vision and mission statements, in a way that the
company’s future goals are mentioned, and the ways to reach that goal are also well defined.
Along with this, this change should be effectively communicated to all the employees, so that
each and every member of the organisation should be working for the same vision and
mission.

LONG TERM RECOMMENDATIONS:

Strategic planning is a key function of an organization’s management that helps to set


priorities, allocate resources, and ensure that everyone is working towards common goals and
objectives. However, for strategic planning to be effective, BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious
Goal) is needed. These serve as a guide for creating objectives and goals in the organization,
thus providing a road-map that is to be followed by everyone.

The organisation should work in improving customer satisfaction by being consistent in their
work and by providing the best services to every customer. This will also improve the
loyalty, and it will also help in customer retention, which will in turn help the company grow.

The organisation must figure out different ways to appeal to and attract customers. It can also
make use of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter
etc, to connect with its customers.

The organisation needs to improve the culture in order to deepen its roots in the market. The
communication goals need to be shared among everybody from top to bottom, and new
changes should be embraced by everyone in the organisation. The more natural the
communication will be, the more employees will feel that they are a part of the organisation.

Executive summary

The purpose of this report is to observe & analyze the communication analysis of the STAD
Solutions. STAD stands for Shriji Training and Development Solution. STAD Solution is
a start-up business started in February,2018 by two friends, Ajaypalsinh Jhala (CEO &
Marketing Head) and Richa Mehta (Chief Technology Officer) with a vision to impart high-
quality job-oriented Training, to the students who aspire to build solid career in their field
from different branches with a common future goal. The Head Office is situated in
Navrangpura Ahmedabad. They also provide development service in different areas, Product
Development in form of I.T Development, Business Development in form of Marketing,
Career Development in form of placements. STAD solution also engaged in Skill
development service.
The report mainly talks about the company’s core business, structure of the company, vision,
mission & process of the company, their current communication pattern, problems in
communication and possible recommendations.
The method of analysis includes observation of the office activities, interaction with the
employees and understanding about their various communication problems. Based on the
analysis, possible short- & long-term recommendations are suggested with an aim to bridge
the communication gap within the company.
The report finds the prospects of the company in its current position are not positive. The
major areas of weakness require further investigation and remedial action by management.
The recommendations discussed includes

 They need to redefine their vision & mission statements in a way that the company’s
future goals are mentioned, and the ways to reach that goal are also well defined.

 The flow of information should be effectively communicated to all the employees, so


that each and every member of the organisation should be working for the same vision
and mission.
 The organisation needs to improve the culture in order to deepen its roots in the
market.

Even after the analysis of the company, the report still have certain limitations,
forecasting figures are not provided, also current economic condition of the company is
not known.
