literate people are exposed in order to observe their verbal behavior
under those stimuli.
2. Bogardus has defined questionnaire as a list of questions sent to a
number of persons for their response or answers. It secures standardized
results which can be tabulated and treated statistically.

Structured Questionnaire contains specific pre-ordained questions. This

method is generally used in research studies of social sciences and law with a
view to initiating a formal enquiry or to check the data already collected
previously.

Unstructured Questionnaire on the other hand, is known for its flexibility. It

closely resembles the interview during the course of interview.

Structured Questionnaire is of two types-

1. Open ended questionnaire- In this type of questionnaire, the

respondent is free to express his views and ideas according to his own
beliefs, faith, feelings or perceptions.
2. Closed form of questionnaire-In this questionnaire, the respondent has
to choose the answer from a set of answers provided to him for response.

least intelligent respondent can understand.
