INTRODUCTORY MESSAGE
This module on “Settings, Processes, Methods and tools in Social work” deals with
activities that could help the learners analyze the different work settings, processes and methods
involved in social work.
To the teacher:
In this part of the lesson, the teacher presented the settings, basic steps of social work
processes, methods and tools in social work. The primary goal of this module is to help learners
engaged in some interesting and practical activities in order to deeply understand the different
processes and methods involved in undertaking social work.

School social workers play a critical role in schools and educational settings. Social workers working
within school systems provide services to students to enhance their emotional well-being and improve their
academic performance. School social workers are usually employed by the school district or an agency that

students, families, and teachers address problems such as truancy, social withdrawal, over aggressive
