Read the big book Kei Roto i te Moana, making connections to animals Ss
have learnt and exploring the "kei roto" phrase.

1. Kei hea te [noun]?

Ss complete Seesaw activity.

Next Steps
This took 3 lessons!!! Reasons:
Students hadn't retained the sentence structure for colours - this
needed some re-teaching
It took much longer to teach "He [noun] tenei". This needs
continued reinforcement.
Teaching "kei roto" took a long time!
I am looking at ways to introduce more movement in my lessons, as at the
moment it is a lot of whole-class/sitting work.
