ROAD MESH® L

Road Mesh® is provided with Product Certification, it is in compliance

with the Directive 89/106/EEC, and has EC mark in compliance with
EN 15381:2008.
Road Mesh® is a unique bi-directional heavy duty bound layer rein-
forcement used in pavement structures. Road Mesh® has a three di-
mensional structure, allowing the bound layer material to envelope
each continuous wire strand, ensuring interlock occurs, and therefore
optimum and immediate load transfer from the aggregate to the rein-
forcing.
Road Mesh® is typically used for road maintenance and new road con-
struction, where conditions are less favorable, and therefore traditional
remedial or design solutions are no longer viable. Road Mesh® is more

commonly installed at the base of bound layers, typically where the
layer’s tensile stresses are higher. The Road Mesh® absorbs and ulti-
mately reduces the peak tensile stresses caused by the presence of
reflected cracks and/or traffic.

1. Tensile strength: the wire used for the manufacture of RoadMesh
shall have a tensile strength between 380-550 N/mm2 exceeding
the values indicated in EN 10223-3, in order to increase the tensile

accordance with EN 10218 (Class T1).

3. Zinc coating: minimum quantities of zinc shown at Table 4 meet
the requirements of EN 10244-2 (Table1 and Class A).
4. Adhesion of Zinc: the adhesion of the zinc coating to the wire shall

be such that, when the wire is wrapped six turns around a mandrel
having four times the diameter of the wire, it does not flake or crack
when rubbing it with the bare fingers, in compliance with EN 10244.
