Different Dance Genre


Ballet
It's dramatic-presented before an audience on stage using costumes, scenery design and lighting. It can
say a story or convey an idea, idea or feeling that may be mystical, thrilling, offensive, or destructive.

Interpretive dance

In lyrical takes a lot of upper body power in and it has to display a lot of feelings when performing and
lyrical dancers try to let the audience experience the discomfort or pleasure while dancing. Lyrical
dances consist of tap dances, but they're mostly a combination of ballet and jazz.

Urban is the most diverse and contemporary style of dance, it reacts to current issues in music, culture
and society So that only a few other types of art might. Established a running vocabulary, It remains
extremely sensitive to new concepts and approaches and strategies and skills.

Cheerdance

It is a routine performance, accompanied by gymnastic movements mixed with cheering or shouting.


It's almost like a fun combination of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics with a touch of street dancing.

Hip-hop/Street Dance
It is a common, energetic dance style that is typically performed in hip-hop music and has originated
from the hip-hop movement and incorporates a wide variety of styles that predominantly break, lock
and pop. Hip hop is a dance style involving a variety of movements that is common among young people
and mostly formed in public spaces including streets, clubs, playgrounds, etc.

Contemporary Dance
It is an expressive dance style that incorporates elements of many dance styles including
contemporary ballet, jazz, lyrics, and classics. Contemporary dancers aim to link mind and body through
the gestures of fluid dance.

Modern Dance
It is a dance form that relies on the experiences of a dancer rather than formal movements, as in
conventional ballet dancing. Modern dance has been more loosely associated with other genres such as
jazz dance, ballet and tap, and some dancers perform in both contemporary and classical dance forms,
learning on both techniques.
