SUBJECT: CAPTIVE FASTENER INSPECTION


ON CE RADIATOR FAN GUARD ACCESS PLATES
TERMINATION DATE

6 Months after published.

PROBLEM

On sets fitted with new CE type radiator fan guards, the captive acorn nuts need to be adjusted
correctly.
This procedure must be carried out on the below mentioned sets.

Procedure

1. Switch off the generator set.

2. Make sure the genset has been safely isolated from starting

3. Remove access plate from right and left hand side of radiator guard as shown in image 1.1.1
below.

Loosen bolts

4. Check all access plate nuts to ensure they all have been torqued up to 6NM as shown in
image 1.1.2 below.

Tighten up acorn nut to

5. Upfit access guard to finish and tighten all bolts securely as shown in image 1.1.3 below.

NOTE: THE SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER MUST BE QUOTED ON THE WARRANTY CLAIM AS
THE PART NUMBER CAUSING FAILURE.
