Conclusion future tense to past future tense

1. FUTURE PERFECT CONTIOUS

 DEFINITION

The future perfect continuous, also sometimes called the future perfect progressive, is a


verb tense that describes actions that will continue up until a point in the future. The future
perfect continuous consists of will + have + been + the verb's present participle (verb root +
-ing).

 FUNCTION

Function. Like the future perfect simple, this form is used to project ourselves forward in
time and to look back. It refers to events or actions that are currently unfinished but will be
finished at some future time. It is most often used with a time expression.

 FORMULA
 S + Will/Shall + Have + Been + Ving
 S + Will/Shall + not + Have + Been + Ving
 Will/Shall + S + Have + Been + Ving

Example tense :

(+) I will have been studying English for two hours when he come.

( -) I will not have been studying English for two hours when he comes.

(?) Will you have been studying English for two hours when he comes?

 CHARACTERISTICS
1. The predicate sentences that are often used in this tense form are Shall or Will.
2. Even though the sentence shows a single third word, the word has not turned into has.
Because it is a patent formula that cannot be changed.
3. After the word has is the word been which indicates that the action has been done.

2. PAST FUTURE PERFECT TENSE


The Past future perfect tense is a form of sentence that serves to express ideas in the past where that
an action/event that is predicted, planned, promised, expected or has been done before a certain time in
the future from the perspective of the past but the fact that the idea has not proven true or the idea was not
carried out as desired.

 CHARACTERISTICS

The predicate sentences that are often used in this tense form are :

S + Should / Would + Have + Past Participle.

The “word” have is placed next to the assistive verb should / would as well as present participle which
means already.

 FORMULA

(+) S + Should / Would + Have + Past Participle.

(-) S + Should / Would + not + Have + Past Participle.

(?) Should / Would + S + Have + Past Participle?

Example

(+) She would have seen the car accident on the street.

(-) She would not have seen the car accident on the street.

(?) Would she have seen the car accident on the street?

3. FUTURE PERFECT TENSE


Future perfect tense has a function to express actions that will be completed at some time
in the future. Apart from that, functioning also makes spontaneous decisions when talking.
Simple Future Tense is formed from capital "will" or "shall" and "bare infinitive" (verb basic
form) or also formed from phrasal capital "be going to" and "bare infinitive" (base form verb).
 FORMULA
The basic formula
(+) S + Will + Have + Past Participle (V3)
(- ) S + Will + Not + Have + Past Participle (V3)
(?) Will + S + Have + V3 + O?
Example
(+)The students will have gone back to school in July.
(-) The students will not have gone back to school in July.
(?) Will the students have gone back to school in July?
Example tense :
(+) He will have learned his lesson.
(-) He will not have learned his lesson.
(?) Will he have learned his lesson.?
 FUNCTION
1. Declares an event or event that will have been done in the past and will be completed in the
future.
2. Reveal the work will have been completed at some time in the future.
4. PAST FUTURE COUNTINOUS
Past Future Continuous Tense or English Past Future Progressive tense is to tell an action
that will be happening in the past (for what is happening in the present is called Future
Continuous Tense). In other words the sentence of this type of tenses is that the action has not
yet been completed. Past Future continues is formed using the auxiliary verb "will be" and
present participle (-ing). Past future continuous tense is formed to carry out dynamic verbs. Past
Future Continuous Tense uses simple past tense as the main sentence that aims to describe an
action that will take place at a certain time in the past or is also used to express a suspicion or
estimate on an event or action that will take place at a certain time in the period past.
 FORMULA
S + WOULD + BE + VERB-ING/ PRESENT PARTICIPLE
(+) He would be playing, We would be watching
S + WOULD + NOT + BE + VERB-ING/PRESENT PARTICIPLE
(-) He wouldn’t be working, They wouldn’t be reading
WOULD + S + BE + VERB-ING/PRESENT PARTICIPLE?
(?) Would he be playing footbal? Would we be watching movie?
 FUNCTION
1. State an event or events that will occur at a time that will occur in the past.
2. Stating events or events that occurred in the past. For auxiliary verbs Used in this form
are auxiliary verbs.
3. In the form of indirect speech that states an event, actions and actions that will occur in
the past.
5. SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE
 DEFINITION

Simple Future Tense is a form of tense that is used to announce an event in the future.
This form of tense is one of the most basic tense and is often used in English. The use of this
tense is synonymous with the word will / will, or will leave.

 - CHARACTERISTICS

- sentence precicates in the form of tense are often in the form of shall/will + infinitive

- the auxiliary verb is shall for the first person I and We, while the will word is used for the
others: He, She, It, You, They

- the question form is a arranged by moving the word shall or will to the front of the subject,
while the negative is by adding the note behind the word shall or will after object.

(+) S+Will/Shall+V1+O

(-) S+Will/Shall+Not+V1+O

(?)Will/Shall+S+V1+O?

6. FUTURE CONTINUOUS

 DEFINITION

The future continuous tense, sometimes also referred to as the future progressive tense, is
a verb tense that indicates that something will occur in the future and continue for an expected
length of time. It is formed using the construction will + be + the present participle (the root verb
+ -ing).
 FUNCTIONS

The future continuous refers to an unfinished action or event that will be in progress at a time
later than now. The future continuous is used for quite a few different purposes.

 FORMULA

The basic formula for Future Continuous Tense is Subject + Will / Shall + be + Present Participle
(verb+ing) + Complement

Example :

(+)He will be sleeping at 10 p.m

(-)He will not be sleeping at 10 p.m

(?)Will he be sleeping at 10 p.m

7. PAST FUTURE SIMPLE

 DEFINITION

Tense means a verb or collection of words used to express a time relationship. In nominal
sentences can not be used as a passive sentence. Active sentences only have objects that can
be used as passive sentences. Simple Future Tense is a form of tenses that are used to show or
explain something that will happen in the future (future). Simple future is formed from verb-1
(future tense) or verb-3 (passive voice).

 CHARACTERISTICS

Simple future tense is used to state:

1. Used to declare an action that will be done in the future.

2. Used to make an appointment in the future

3. Used to indicate conditions

4. Used to beg someone to do something

 FUNCTION
1. This tense is used to express something done voluntarily
2. You can also use this tense to state the actions that you have planned and will do in the
past.
3. It can also be used to declare promises made in the past that will be fulfilled in the
future.
4. Can be used to state predictions about future events said in the past.
 FORMULA

Subyek + Would + Bare Infinitive (verb 1)

Subyek + Was/Were + Going To + Bare Infinitive

Example :

I wish you would come to my house because today’s my birthday

8. PAST FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE


Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense is used to express an action or imaginary situation that
would have been happening in the past. The verb of Past Future Perfect Continuous is in
progress at a certain point or during certain periods in the past. Past Future Perfect Continuous
are suppositions or assumptions, referring to the actors in the sentence just assumed the
sentence stated by it
 FORMULA :

(+) Subjek + would + have been + V-ing.


(-) Subjek + would + not + have been + V- ing.
(?) Would + subjek + have been + V-ing.
Example :

(+) I would have been working in leading companies for 5 years.


They would have been learning English grammar for one year by the end of last month.
(-) I would not have been working in leading companies for 5 years.
They would not have been learning English grammar for one year by the end of last month.
(?) Would you have been working in leading companies for 5 years?
Would they have been learning English grammar for one year by the end of last month?
 FUNCTION

1. State the duration of an event, action and action that would have already taken place in
the past.
2. Stating an event, action and action whose time is already in progress has occurred and
will take place in the past.
 CHARACTERISTICS
 The predicate sentence that is often used in the form of tense is often in the form of
have been
 The word has not changed even though the sentence shows a single third sentence. And
after the word has followed by the word has which means already.
