They are subject to normal manufacturing tolerances and where stated, being standard deviation
according to ISO 3534-1.
**The theoretical spreading rate has been calculated for the stated volume solids and dry film thickness. A
practical spreading rate will depend on the actual dry film thickness, the nature of the substrate and
relevant consumption factor. The physical constants are subject to normal manufacturing tolerances.

Product Data Sheet
Strata Epoxy MT
Mix: 45520. Base: 45529. Curing Agent: 95521.

Safety: Handle with care before and during usage. Read all labels on packaging and paint containers
before usage, consult Hempel for any inquiries. Material Safety Data Sheets follows all local
and national safety regulation. Avoid inhalation; avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not
swallow. Take precautions against possible risks of fire or explosion. Apply only in well-
ventilated areas. Remember to protect the environment.

Application conditions: Application can only proceed at temperatures above 10ºC, relative humidity below 75%. Other
sealer/filler types may be specified. Drying data are given on the assumption that proper
ventilation is provided. Strata Epoxy MT should not be applied to concrete with more than 4%
moisture.

Surface preparation: The surface should be stable, firm, dry and free from dust, sand, loose old paint, laitance, dirt,
grease and oil. Proper surface preparation is a must, mechanical surface preparation is highly
recommended (see Strata Surface preparation brochure or consult our technical
representatives).

Sealing/Priming: Strata Epoxy MT can be used as a self-priming material on smooth, solid, non-pourous
substrates. For pourous substrates we recommend to use Strata Primer SF or Strata Sealer.

Filling: Strata Epoxy Floor Filler. Recommendation: apply primer/sealer prior to the application of a
specified filler.

Mixing: Strata Epoxy MT is a two-component material (base and curing agent), which must be mixed
together prior to use. Stir the base continuously while adding the contents of the curing agent.
Mix until the mixture is homogeneous.

Application: Apply the mixed product to the surface with a good quality of short haired roller or brush. Let it
dry for 24 hours before applying the second coat with the same tools used for the first coat.
The second coat should be applied at a right angle to the first coat.

For slip-resistant finish:

While the first coat is still wet, broadcast Strata Anti-Slint 900 into the surface approx. 250-
500 gm per square meter. Let it dry for 24 hours. Remove residual grips and apply the topcoat
layer of Strata Epoxy MT in the specified film thickness.

Storage & handling: Product must be stored as per local regulation. Keep in dry and ventilated location, far from
heat and direct sunlight.

Shelf-life: 12 months from date of production.

Remarks: Epoxy coatings will yellow, chalk and lose gloss over a period of time when exposed to direct
or diffused sunlight. Yellowing is a surface phenomenon attributed to the chemical nature of
the resin with natural darkening. Degree of yellowing can vary from product to product but is
generally more obvious in pale shades. This has no influence on the function and performance
of the coating. For UV protection, we suggest you to apply a top coat of Strata PU Top or
consult Hempel for more suitable options.
