Mining engineers/ Electric and Mechanical engineers + manual labourers were made redundant
No VRS to white collars – Created profiles of employees and CVs including the ratings of last 2-3 years
and tried to find opportunities in other ABG business.
VRS was given to blue collar employees – Eligibility – 10 years of service + more than 40 years of age –
45 days salary for every completed year + 1 month salary for remaining years of service.
Some young workers and engineers were given option to relocate to coal mine after some re-skilling.
Suggestion – Local consultants will do a better job at placing blue collar workers.
