    PREFACE
    In the wake of the global corona virus pandemic, Malaysian government has been enforcing the Movement
    Control Order (MCO) for several months (March-June) to curb the spread of the disease. During this MCO,
    schools were closed and online teaching has been implemented. After four months of MCO, the government
    announced that schools reopened on 15 July (for pupils year 5 and 6) and 22 July for the rest of the pupils.
    After schools reopening, it has come to the teachers’ awareness that the pupils’ level of reading fluency is
    sadly very disappointing. To prevent this matter from getting worse, the English panel has come up with a
    reading programme targeting pupils year one until six.

    OBJECTIVES
    (a) To improve pupils reading fluency.

    TARGET
    All pupils of SJK (T) Ladang Kuala Reman.

    DURATION
    7.30 – 7.45 a.m. every Wednesday morning throughout the year

    SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES
    Every Wednesday at 7.30 until 7.45 in the morning, one pupil from year one to year six will be given
    reading material and they will read them to Pn. Thavamalar.

    It is hoped that this programme will run smoothly to achieve the specified goals.
