COLLAR
*when it says “ turn ” the n ext sc will be in the secon d chain from the
hook, see pictures below.
The collar is kin d of just on e lon g row. The pictures below illustrate
each step a bit better if you haven ’t made somethin g similar before.
The importan t part is after you turn your work, the n ext sc is in the
secon d stitch from your hook – the stitch marked n umber 4 .
TAIL? (MAKE 5)
*It’s kin d of a tail? In my n otes I’ve labelled them “ butt trian gles”
The tail is made usin g the same trian gle-y techn ique as the collar.
S ame with the frin ge an d ear fuzz pieces.
FRINGE (MAKE 2)
I attach them in this order: legs to body first, then arms to body.
Then I take the little tail trian gles, pin them in place an d attach
them. Three go right across the bottom of the body, an d the other
two go in the spaces between them – kin d of like an upside down
version of the olympic rin gs. Take the tail of the trian gle, an d just
stitch alon g the open top edge.
Next I usually attach the ears to the head. The head also has a couple
of little fluffy bits – the bits of the “ frin ge” go between the ears, an d
the two bits of “ear fluff ” go just un dern eath the ears. The on e
un dern eath the right ear has already been sewn on in the picture
below.

I like to attach the head before the collar because it’s a little easier.
There should have been 2 4 stitches in the last roun d of the head an d
the last roun d of the body. S imply lin e them up, an d whipstitch
closed.
To attach the collar we’re goin g to wrap it aroun d the n eck twice.
S tart with the en d with the larger trian gles, an d pin it in place at the
back of the doll, then wrap the collar aroun d the n eck. When it gets
to the poin t where it overlaps, you wan t to pull it so that the smaller
trian gles lin e up with the gaps between the larger trian gles. Use the
tails to sew it in place – I don ’t bother goin g aroun d the en tire
collar, I usually secure it at every 3 rd trian gle or so, an d at the en ds.
