Task-1
Specific Objective:
• Learners will be able to share their experience.
• Learners will be able to recall the facts regarding the poem.

• The class will be beginning with the recap.

• Teacher will write some statements about the snakes and learners have to
identify which one is fact about the snakes and which one is myth.

Teacher will make a game or wordwall.net and ask learners to play the game
after they are done with the game, she will share her screen and ask in which
category she should put the statements. For giving correct answer.

Teach will ask learner have they ever witnessed any situation in which a human
being cruel to an animal.

• Teacher will ask some question:


1. Have you seen any animal which can change its colour
(camouflage)?
2. Why do they need to camouflage?
3. Do you think snakes can also camouflage?
• Teacher will show some picture of some animals camouflaging.
Task 2

Specific Objective:
• Learner will be able to recite Poem correctly.
• Learners will be able to get to know the nuances present in poem.
10-12 • Teacher will recite the poem and then ask two learners to recite the
poem

1. Do you agree that a snake does not want to bite a man; it bites man only
when it feels that man is going to kill it?
2. Which values can be noticed about the poet from his attitude towards
snakes?
3. How does the poem inspire you?
4. How does the snake protect itself? What kind of body it have?
5. How does the poet describe its shapes?
6. Why is the poet fascinated by the snake? Why does he want to let it go
unhurt into the reeds?

• Learners are asked to read the poem silently and do the worksheet.
Task 3
Specific Objectives:

• Learner will be able to understand the figure of speech.


• Learner will be able to identify the figure of speech in poem.
• Learner will be able to use the figure of speech.

10 There will be a discussion on worksheet. After that the learners will be shown some
minutes slides about the poetic devices (Definition and usage) Along with that teacher will
show two lines from the poem and learners have to identify in which line the specific
Figure of Speech has been used.

• Home Task:
Learners are asked to write how their opinion has changed about the
snakes after reading the poem in a paragraph.
