B. MISSION: The Camarines Norte State College shall provide higher and advanced studies in the fields of education, arts and
sciences, economics, health, engineering, management, finance, accounting, business and public administration,
fisheries, agriculture, natural resources development and management and ladderized courses. It shall also respond to
research, extension and production services adherent to progressive leadership towards sustainable development.
C. QUALITY POLICY: We, at the Camarines Norte State College, aiming to become a Premier Higher Education Institution in the Bicol Region,
are committed to provide excellent services in instruction, research, extension and production that are responsive to the
satisfaction of our students and other stakeholders.
To achieve these, we shall implement an internationally recognized management system in our operations, processes
and services and shall:
• comply with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, the mandates of the College and relevant needs and
expectations of our students and other stakeholders, and the requisites of our quality management system;
• delight our students and other stakeholders by providing value-adding experiences to become well-rounded and more
competitive future leaders in the midst of global issues;
• provide our employees support to grow and achieve their full potentials in their respective fields, thereby sustaining a
competent, motivated and engaging workforce;
• develop and extend innovative technologies to our stakeholders contributing to the country’s sustainable development;
and
• establish objectives aimed at improving the efficiency of our operations, processes and services for our College growth

We shall make this policy an essential part of our instruction, research, extension and production services to ensure that it
continuously provides us strategic directions in improving our overall performance and quality management system.
G. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the study of written communication in the business setting. It trains the students in writing
business letters, business reports, memoranda, minutes of meetings, and employment communication, among others.
I. PREREQUISITE: none
M. INSTITUTIONAL INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: CSNC envisions a graduate having the following attributes: professional
competence, critical and creative thinking skills, technical competitive skills, productivity, social and ethical responsibility,
communication skills, interpersonal skills and lifelong learning.
N. PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: For Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Economics, the following set
of objectives describes what graduates are expected to attain within few years after graduation:

1. Produce graduates that will assume professional positions in the government. Bureaus, non-government business
organizations and industries with theoretical and practical learning experiences needed in real work environment;
2. Develop positive attitudes and values necessary in carrying out their social responsibility in the exercise of their
profession;
3. Provide intellectually deserving but financially-handicapped students with access to degree programs in all areas of
administration through an expanded scholarship grants and financial assistance; and
4. Encourage research for the improvement and attunement of the government business curricula to the needs of the
society and to the national growth for socio-economic development.
O. COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: After completing this course, the students must be able:
1. Analyze written and verbal communications and evaluate their usefulness, relevance, rhetorical components, and
stylistic elements.
2. Compose effective and persuasive written, visual, and oral texts for diverse audiences.
3. Recognize and implement the qualities associated with effective business writing, particularly the hallmarks of
correctness, conciseness, coherence, and clarity.
4. Design visually attractive documents with informative and eye-catching visual elements.
5. Use technology to effectively present your messages.
6. Conduct research using a broad range of sources, synthesizing and judging the quality of collected information.
7. Communicate ethically.
8. Write in a variety of workplace genres including resumes, letters, emails, memos, proposals, and reports.
9. Collaborate effectively with peers.
