PURPOSE OF MEDICATION

Interactions ACE inhibitors, ARBs, Anticoagulants,
Antihypertensives, diuretics, Disulfiram, Lithium, Methotrexate, Client Education: Tell patient to discard
Pentoxifylline, Probenecid, Salicylates, and SSRIs and alcohol nasal spray within 24 hours of the first
dose, even if medication remains in the
bottle.
Warn patient using nasal spray that
transient, mild to moderate nasal
irritation may occur that lasts for a few
minutes and will not worsen with next
