*HQHUDO Compared to other cylinder configurations, a four-cylinder engine is more
sensitive to disturbances in the charge air system, e.g. partly blocked coolers
and turbocharger nozzle ring. This has in some installations resulted in high
thermal loads.
In order to improve the performance of these engines, a new camshaft and a
new turbocharger specification have been introduced, giving the following
advantages:
• Reduced exhaust gas temperatures by some 30–50°C.
• The turbocharger stays cleaner for a longer period.
• The engine is less sensitive to disturbances in the charge air system.

5HFRPPHQGDWLRQ We recommend you to upgrade your 4R32 engines to the new concept thus
improving the performance of your engines.
