1. The lifejacket has been appraised also against LSA Code as amended by Resolution MSC.368(93)
2. Instructions for use should be provided with each lifejacket. As prescribed by SOLAS Regulation III/35
one or more additional copies shall be provided for inclusion in the vessel’s Training Manual
3. The lifejacket is approved only for use by adults with a minimum weight 43 kg or above and a
minimum height of 155 cm or more
4. The minimum total buoyancy of this lifejacket design is 162 N
5. Each lifejacket shall also be marked with the information required by LSA Code, Regulation I/1.2.2.9
and I I/2.2.1.10

6. As prescribed by SOLAS Regulation III/36 and where applicable, lifejacket shall be maintained as per
manufacturer’s instructions
7. When required, an approved lifejacket light meeting the requirements of the LSA Code Regulation
II/2.2.3 is to be fitted. The light is to be tested and meet the requirements of IMO Resolution MSC.81
(70), Part 1, 10.3 and 10.4 and is attachment have to be to the satisfaction of the attending Surveyors
8. Each lifejacket shall be fitted with a whistle firmly secured by a lanyard as per LSA Code as amended
by Regulation II/2.2.1.14
9. A lifejacket shall be provided with a releasable buoyant line or other means to secure it to a lifejacket
worn by another person in the water as per LSA Code as amended by Regulation II/2.2.1.16
10. A lifejacket shall be provided with a suitable means to allow rescuer to lift the wearer from the water
into a survival craft or rescue boat as per LSA Code as amended by Regulation II/2.2.1.17
11. The storage of this equipment is not part of this Design Appraisal or Certificate. All such arrangement
is to be to the satisfaction of the Surveyors attending on board
12. If the specified standards are amended during the validity of this certificate, this product type is to
be re-approved prior to it being supplied to vessels to which the amended standards apply
13. Production items are to be manufactured in accordance with a quality control system which shall be
maintained to ensure compliance with SOLAS Regulation III/5
14. Production tests are to be conducted in accordance with the applicable requirements of IMO
Resolution MSC.81 (70), Part 2 and each item, batch, or lot be delivered with an LR Certificate of
SOLAS Production Testing issued by the attending LR Surveyors following their witness of the tests.
This does not preclude any further testing to additional requirements of the Marine Administration
of the country where the ship is registered (i.e. the flag state) or those acting on behalf of that
Administration
15. Should a change of Place of Production from that stated below be required i.e. where the stages of
manufacture/assembly/testing of this product take place, the new Place of Production is to be advised
to us prior to the change taking place. This Certificate will require to be updated for Approval to be
maintained
