    The Alerts are provided to all Drilling and Workover Operations Foremen and Liaisonmen so that we all learn from the
    experiences of others. The knowledge of this incident could prevent similar ones from happening in the future.
    Saudi Aramco policy requires the information in this Alert to be communicated to all crew members and documented on
    morning reports.

    What happened?
    It was noticed during various incident investigations that drilling contractors/rig
    move companies present valid Rigger I certificates to rig foreman’s prior to rig
    move. However, once rig foreman leave location or is not available in new
    location, those rigger I are replaced by others holding expired/forged certificates
    or even without certificates. This is a breach of the G.I. 7.025 Heavy Equipment
    Operator and Rigger Testing and Certification and in violation of Saudi Aramco
    policies and procedures.
    Consequences:
     High potential for serious injury or fatality.
     Operations interruption.
     Potential equipment damages.
    Why did it happened?
     Foreman/operation department representative not available.
     Heavy Equipment Operator and Rigger Employees and Contractors do not
    track the validation of the certification.
     Complacency from drilling contractor/rig move companies.
    What should be done to prevent recurrence?
     All Saudi Aramco Rig Foremen shall verify the heavy equipment operators
    and riggers arriving on site and their certification in the Saudi Aramco ITD
    Certification Tracking System before they start any work by using the
    following hyperlink:

     Operation Department to pay frequent visits during rig moves in both old
    and new locations and report any non-compliance.
     All Contractors, Sub-contractors and Service providers shall verify their
    heavy equipment operators and riggers are certified before sending them to
    site.
